16 years ago, the city of Newport Falls belonged to the criminal organization IMPERIO. The members of this group spread fear and terror and held the once picturesque Newport Falls in a stranglehold of organized crime. For a long time, the police had nothing to oppose this power and IMPERIO was free to do as it pleased. Until one day a wily police officer, John Croft, appeared on the scene. Together with his taskforce, he was able to put a stop to this syndicate's deeds bit by bit. But just before he could arrest the leader, he and his organization disappeared without trace. John Croft, the hero and father of a young boy was found dead a short time later. There were two bullets in his chest. But the case was never solved. IMPERIO disappeared and the city blossomed and developed magnificently. 16 years later, there is no longer any sign of what had happened. IMPERIO has returned and flooded the urban area with its criminal activities. The unthinkable happens when the mayor puts on a large banquet to present his future strategy against organized crime, which has been on the rise for months. During the presentation, a shady man draws a weapon and shoots at the mayor. Bullets fly; glass shatters and panic breaks out everywhere. Tabitha Windsock, Two Point County’s every-present mayor, has put rivers and forests back on the map with her sudden concern for ‘green-issues’. She’s got morals, integrity and, above all else, a cloying desperation to stay in office. That’s right, voter research has repeatedly suggested that the environment is the No. 1 issue on everyone’s mind, here in Two Point County, and Ms Windsock is more than willing to fall on the sword of extensive positive press by founding the Department of Green Things. You’ll face new illnesses, some of them bizarre, even by your standards, and manage new gameplay mechanics on your route to eco-friendly success. We believe in you, and Tabitha does too (sort of). WANDEROFF COUNTY PARK In Wanderoff County Park, Holistix have been farming rare, natural ingredients for years. Once they heard that the Mayor was planning to trial her green initiative in the area, they decided to open a nature commune, and take advantage of the foot traffic. It's our job to care for the people attached to those feet. Our funding from Holistix will depend on how well we're scoring on their new scale... Yes, the (less than) fine people at Holistix have developed something called a "Wellness Index", which uses a number of different criteria to measure the overall wellbeing of a community. They believe that they've found a correlation between high scores on the Wellness Index and a willingness to purchase their organic tat. We won't receive much for diagnosing and treating patients, so if we want to make money we'll need to score well on the Wellness Index by focusing on its six criteria: staff and patient happiness; attractiveness; hygiene; reputation; and cure rate. OLD NEWPOINT Welcome to Old Newpoint, the original settlement in the current era of Two Point County. Though there is no way to know exactly what happened, a cataclysmic event brought an end to the prior civilisation in Two Point County. It was in Old Newpoint, then just Newpoint, that our foreparents founded life as we know it and began to build sheds, make wicker things, and establish our problems and traditions. Many of those traditions are practiced in the area to this day, for some reason… Yes, strange traditions such as herbal medicine and horticulture. The residents practice a root-to-stem approach, you won’t find them munching on Cheesy Gubbins, so you’ll need to keep everyone fed and watered by growing your own fruit and vegetables, and collecting rainwater. But the botany doesn’t end there - no! - medicinal Herb Gardens need to be used to treat the region’s most herbaceous afflictions. Get gardening. WINDSOCK CITY Welcome to Windsock, the County’s first eco-city and its most expensive thing to be named after, and founded by, the same person. The city has taken over the news, provoking questions like: “How does this work?”, “Why haven’t we done it before?” and “Who paid for this?”. Say what you like about Tabitha, she really wants to get re-elected. Windsock City doesn’t rely on the usual means of power. Instead, you’ll need to build green energy machines to stay switched-on and self-sufficient. Each of your green energy machines, whether it’s a wind turbine, solar panel or hydro-dam, will increase the power capacity of the hospital. The power that you generate can be used to open rooms in your hospital, or allocated to the Patient Flow and Staff Applicants systems, to influence transport in and out of the city. Heading off the beaten path brings with it a range of new illnesses! Mercenary Kushite shieldwomen Can be recruited as mercenaries in Aethiopia. The fiercely independent Kushite Nubians are a geopolitical force to be reckoned with. Their mounted archers and skilled infantry have repelled Roman advances on multiple occasions, ably demonstrating their proficiency in large-scale battle. The zealous, spear-armed warriors of the Kushite Shieldwomen are swift, agile and deadly; able to strike swiftly from woodlands and trained to form up effectively in defence, Cavalry commanders would be wise to fear them. Lusitani Swordswomen Can be recruited by The Lusitani, or as mercenaries in Lusitania. Honed by generations of conflict and rightly feared for their lightning ambush tactics, The Lusitani have built a reputation as excellent guerrilla warriors. Trained to advance under the whittling fire provided by the Cantabrian Circle, their swift and hard-hitting Swordswomen are adept at exploiting woodlands to remain hidden while they move. When the charge comes, it is swift, sudden, frenzied and terrifying; though used carefully, Lusitani Swordswomen can also mount a formidable defence. Cimbri Bow-Women Can be recruited by The Suebi. Like many Germanic tribes, the dense woodlands of northern Europe have impelled the Suebi to develop superior guerrilla warfare techniques. Adept at making the most of cover and striking from a hidden position, the Cimbri Bow-Women are amongst the finest archers the Suebi can field. With superior weapon range and damage, they can wreak havoc before they are even detected. If attacked directly however, they can give a better account of themselves in melee than their principal role suggests. Spear Gladiatrices Can be recruited by Rome, or as mercenaries in Italia. Bringing the bloodthirsty and brutal melee techniques of the arena to the battlefield, Gladiatrices make excellent shock-troops. When armed with spears, these warriors gain a defensive edge over their sword-wielding battle-sisters, making them better prepared in the face of an assault. Arranged effectively, they can stop the hammer-blow of a cavalry charge in its tracks, and their frenzied riposte can inflict horrific casualties. Gorgo’s Skirmishers Can be recruited by Sparta, or as mercenaries in Hellas. The citizens of Sparta were among the finest infantry in the ancient world. With the Helots performing the ‘lesser’ functions of society such as agriculture, Spartan warriors were free to engage in the all-encompassing pursuit of excellence in combat. Athletics and weapon-drills were not the sole preserve of men, however. Humankind for PC is a 4x game for those who have secretly always craved world domination. 4x stands for explore, expand, exploit, exterminate, and is usually applied to those games where the players work to increase their base from a tiny subsistence smallholding to a major civilisation. This game is one of those, stretching through six eras from a nomadic existence to the heights of glorious civilisation. About the Game You begin by choose one of ten paths of development to follow, growing and succeeding as you progress. The game is fairly flexible compared to some of its contemporaries, in that you can try out a path of progress and then change it if it seems not to be working out. Another point to bear in mind is that neighbouring civilisations will influence your people and make demands of you. When this happens, you can choose to submit to their requests, or double down and take out your neighbours, subjugating them to your will! If you want to fight other peoples for their possession, resources and land, you can ransack them, fight them for their mines or simply claim the land by building an outpost – but be careful as it is all too easy to find yourself an accidental warlord if you are too successful! At the end of each era, you choose from another 10 cultures, accurately showing how empires and cultures rise, flourish and then give way to the next big thing. At every transition, your existing culture does not die away completely. Instead, you carry enough traits and features from your current way of life to create an accurate and unique melting pot. You can customise your own appearance quite minutely, but you will always be an imaginary person as you cannot take on the persona of a real historical character, as the real world that shaped them offers vastly different influences and ideas in your world. Build Your Celebrity The game is engrossing as it is not simply a numbers game where sheer numbers will win out – you can have a small army and limited resources, but still outfox a larger army with cunning, careful thought and planning. This encourages you to scout out the terrain, spot natural bottlenecks and encourage your soldiers to never give up, never surrender! You cannot ‘win’ per se, but you can succeed by being famous! Score points by building ‘Fame’ which you do, firstly, by building holy sites, discovering world wonders, or other ‘world deeds’, as all of these are known, or, secondly, by earning era stars. As mentioned above, the game is very flexible, so you can change the way you play if your strategies aren’t working out, or if you think of a better way to do it. With era stars, there are a total of 126 stars available to you over the course of the game, at a rate of 21 stars per era. You must earn at least 7 stars in each to be able to proceed to the next level. Earn stars by researching technologies, killing enemies and, as in real life, earning money. There are a 60 total cultures in the game, ten for each era. The various cultures include, amongst others: Egyptians, Greeks, Nubians, Libyans, Romans, Hittites, Harrapans, Babylonians, Assyrians, Germans, and Chinese, giving you a wide and diverse range of cultures to choose as you build and expand your civilisation. Authoritarian or Liberal: You Choose There are sliders to choose world outlook of your country, and with each twitch to one side or another you will create an impact on the country’s smooth running. Unlike in real life, which is much more nuanced, in the game, extremes can give more benefits, but otherwise these sliders give a reasonable overview of how societies work. Geopolitical outlook – are you a nationalist patriot or a global villager? economics – rampant I-got-mine capitalism or a more communal society? culture – strict old-fashioned values or the embrace of progress? government – authoritarian dictator or liberal lovie?

In his quest for destruction, Ikit seeks to realise his grandest design – the mighty Doomsphere – and he will stop at nothing to unleash it upon the world… Clan Skryre brings several unique faction features and mechanics to Total War: WARHAMMER II: Clan Skryre Forbidden Workshop With access to the infamous Forbidden Workshop, Clan Skryre players can spend resources to upgrade various units such as Doomwheels, Doom-flayers and Weapons Teams with powerful new stat-boosts and attributes. As the player upgrades in each category, they will unlock further ancillaries and, eventually, new regiments of renown unique to the Forbidden workshop. Workshop progress requires food and Warp Fuel, a new resource gathered after battles. New research tiers in the Workshop may be unlocked by completing unique missions. But the deadliest invention by far that the Workshop offers is the Warpstorm Doomrocket. Warpstorm Doomrockets Doomrockets are outlandishly powerful weapons, deployed in battle as an Army Ability. They are crafted in the Forbidden Workshop, and can be stockpiled for use, though only one Doomrocket from the stockpile may be launched per battle. Perhaps the most powerful weapon wielded by any of the Races of WARHAMMER II, a single Doomrocket is capable of wiping out multiple units in a single strike, sending dust and debris skywards in an incinerating mushroom-cloud! Doomsphere While the Under-Empire is a feature newly-available to Skaven factions (see the Doomsayer Update Notes for more details), only Clan Skryre can build the Doomsphere within the Under-Cities they establish. This immense Warpstone bomb is powerful enough to completely destroy any settlement it is constructed below. NEW HOSPITALS Pebberley Reef Wigbert “Wiggy” Silverbottom has funded this hospital on the coast of Pebberley Island. Currently, we’re not exactly what you would term ‘official’. We’ll need to clean the place up a bit before the island’s medical authorities are willing to recognise this as a hospital and give us a medical license. Wiggy’s using the hospital to make good on all those times he’s offered someone a job without thinking it through; for some reason he thought it’d be a good idea for them to work as our janitorial staff. We won’t have access to a pool of highly trained medical janitors. Instead, we’ll be able to hire other, random, totally inexperienced people. We’ll need to get training, or maybe just hire loads of them, as Pebberley receives some of the most erratic and unique weather in the County. Overgrowth It’s hard to believe, but a community used to live at the heart of this jungle before it got angry with them and, you know, ‘over grew’. People who had lived here for millennia were forced to leave their home and live down the road a bit. The plants here are pretty judgemental, for vegetation, but might respond positively if you care for the people and restore balance to the area. When we arrived, we found incomprehensible word and number sequences written into the bark of some of the trees. Try as we may, we just couldn’t make any sense of “Cure 10 Patients”, you should probably take a look. Good luck and, remember, the trees are watching! Topless Mountain The incredible natural plateaus of this area are perfect building foundations. They’re just so flat. Much more suitable than those pointy Pointy mountains they have in the north. The ancient people certainly thought so, that’s why they did lots of building here back in the ancient times, with their ancient tools. The transport out here is a nightmare, as you can imagine, and tourists that make it this far tend to have gotten sick on their travels, so big groups (we’re calling them ‘waves’) of sickly sightseers will be turning up all at once. Whilst you’re treating them, Wiggy’s crew will be excavating the ruins. It might be worth keeping an eye on their progress: the more they find, and restore, the more boneheads we’ll get turning up at the hospital. The people of Pebberley Island have been suffering from some very unusual illnesses indeed. Perhaps we can help! Contains 34 new illnesses (10 of them full new visual illnesses), including some of the following: * Wanderust Prolonged feelings of sameness have led to dull, tedious pain and a craving for adventure. The sufferer's tendency to search for relief in highly precarious, unimaginative, activities mean that they pose a great risk to themselves and others until they experience some kind of payoff. * Blank look The sufferer's facial features have receded out of existence and must be coaxed back with subtle, hydraulic machinery. Unfortunately, common amongst people-pleasers, yes-men and crowd-enthusiasts. A cornucopia of tropical treasures awaits you on the golden shores of Pebberley Island. Hostility The lands beyond the Empire are inimical to man, and Wulfhart’s actions will not go unnoticed. While defeating the local inhabitants improves Wulfhart’s Imperial standing and increases his supply of fresh troops, it also enrages Lustria’s native denizens… Wulfhart’s Hostility rating reflects the current level of Lustria’s retaliation against his military activities. Aggressive activities, such as military actions and raiding, can raise Hostility through five levels. Conversely, a more passive approach to the campaign will cause Hostility to fall. Each Hostility level has a negative effect on Wulfhart’s campaign, but is also a measure of his aggression against the Lizardmen. As he ascends through the Hostility levels, reinforcements are dispatched more frequently via the Imperial Supplies system. The strength of these reinforcements is still dictated by the Emperor’s Mandate bar. When peak Hostility is reached, a Lizardmen task-force is dispatched with the aim of defeating Wulfhart. The city lies in Blaine County, near another city, Los Santos (both also fictional) and all areas can be accessed from the beginning of the game. FULLY OPERATIONAL TOWNS! However, some gameplay needs to be unlocked in the open map area, before you can get the full flavour of what the game has to offer. But it is well worth exploring as you play, or in between the linear missions: Los Santos boasts a fully operational golf course, tennis courts, you can go to the races – there is even a stock market that you can watch for fluctuations. Movie theatres allow you to watch a movie if you want some downtime, or you help to mug (or save from being mugged) an unsuspecting passer-by, you can collect vehicles, or even rob an armoured van – whatever you fancy when the situation arises in the game! The story is centred around the heist action and there are plenty of shooting and driving scenarios to keep players engaged and interested. Players use melee attacks, explosions and firearms to defeat their enemies, and can drive, swim, run and jump to move around the world. Exploring the wider world, you can even steal planes and fly over the terrain to cut down travel times. The game is very immersive, almost like an interactive movie rather than a game, with the actions interspersed with plenty of driving conversations and connecting scenes to watch while you wait for your next opportunity to shoot up a bank or commit a heist. IF YOU CAN’T DO THE TIME… Your criminality puts a target on your back so do bear that in mind when being lawless! The worse the crime you commit the higher on the ‘wanted’ list you are – and this impacts on how aggressively law enforcement will behave towards you when they catch up with you. If they do! MAKE A FEATURE FILM! Director mode is a new feature of this version of GTA, and it allows you to explore the world as any character but with an artistic, creative eye. You can record pieces of footage, then cut and edit it into a short film – you can do this while still following the narrative arc of the game, or while you are exploring in and around Blaine County. Orcs Must Die! 3 for PC is an action game heavily involving tower defence. The game is the fourth in the Orcs Must Die! Series and is the direct sequel to Orcs Must Die! 2, picking up the action 20 years after Orcs Must Die! 2 ends. The full series is: Orcs Must Die!; Orcs Must Die! 2, Orcs Must Die: Unchained (perhaps the least successful of the series), and now this one, which aims to return the game to its heyday. And in that it succeeds nicely. ABOUT THE GAME You play the character of one of several apprentice mages, who are part of The Order. The Order is a group of wizards and warriors who must use all the weapons and special skills and traps they can to defeat the hordes of orcs that endlessly try to access Rifts. Rifts are openings or portals between this (the human) world and Dead World which is a source of magical energy upon which wizards (and the general population ultimately) rely. You must lay out a series of traps in your newly purchased dungeon (or a field, if your fancy takes you that way), aiming to take out as many orcs as you can with the traps. You are aided in this by the flow of ‘ghost orcs’ which show you which way the real orcs will go when they arrive. This helps you to position the traps, so you can aim them to an area where they will do the most damage. But don’t make your traps too lethal! Not straight away at least. Getting the orcs to trigger the whole series of traps boosts your combo points nicely and the more traps they trigger, the better for your score card in the long run. There is also a level of slapstick hilarity to the orcs triggering of the traps – including overkill types like the brightly coloured acid geyser trap and the saw blade launcher (which can be aimed once you learn the way the bouncing saw blades will ricochet) – they are flung high in the air in a cartoonish way that is quite blood-thirstily satisfying. There is some good banter to be overheard between the war mages (of which one tends to be obliviously daft, while the other one is sassy)! Consideration must be given to the way you want to play as your trap inventory and weapons inventory use up the same slots, so you have to choose what to take with you and find the right balance between in person firepower and passive trap setting. THE NITTY GRITTY Work through the original 18 levels of story mode, play in endless mode to see how long you can last, or amuse yourself with the Weekly Challenges. In this game, there is an oversized arena, where everything is scaled up to war-like proportions – appropriately, it is called War Scenarios. You will face up to 1,000 orcs advancing on you, use and fear immense siege weapons and oversized traps (called War Machines) and generally see if you can cope with everything being supersized! There are five maps set aside for War Scenarios. Scramble is a new (semi rogue-like/ lite mode), which was released after the main game’s release. It is a great way to challenge yourself as you must beat five levels of increasing difficulty. As if that wasn’t hard enough, in between levels, you will find yourself under attack, will lose random buffs and may even find yourself being chased rather than needing to defend a Rift! However, as much as you are dealt random active penalties, there are also new and exciting buffs that boost your existing powers (aka random active bonuses). Scramble only unlocks along with the second story campaign, after you have progressed some way into the main game, so you will have to at least start the main game. Firing into the crowd is great fun, especially if you set yourself specific targets, or you can use freeze bombs and knockbacks to take out swathes of orcs. There is no real skill needed, just adrenaline boosting button mashing which is really satisfying when you are in the mood for it. Most orcs are green, and come in a range of sizes, but watch out for purple orcs – these are Fire Fiends who are impervious to freezing and to flames. Another nasty creature to look out for are gnoll hunters who would rather get hold of you than get to the Rift. As you play, aim for the perfect five-skull score on each map. Mix up your play between traps and combat, letting the traps take out most orcs and then you take care of the rest. The best way to play is with 2 players in co-operative mode, as this allows you to tag team each other, and gives you two pairs of eyes and hands – which can result in double the chance of success! TRAPS, TRAPS, TRAPS Types of traps to lay out follow. Remember, you get more points for more damage, so avoid the high intensity quick kills in favour of lengthy drawn-out low damage series of traps, boosting the yield for when you do dispatch them. Arrow attacks – when the trap is triggered a flight of arrows fly out from the walls Spike pits – open up under the orcs’ feet Shock traps – blitz the orcs with lightning/ electricity from above, this has the cool effect of showing the orc’s skeleton while the blast

Two Point Campus for PC is a business simulation game, a follow-on from the patient care and hospital building game, Two Point Hospital. In this game, as you might guess from the name, you must build and run a university. ABOUT THE GAME You start the game with an empty plot of land, so you can lay out, plan and build the university according to your own tastes. The generous sandbox style open world allows you a lot of freedom: There is an as-you-need tutorial which guides you when you are stuck or starting something new, without influencing too many of your decisions as you go. For example, you will need to ensure there is enough dorm space for all your students, as well as a good sufficiency of toilets, among other things. Once the game is sure you know what you are doing, the tutorial dials back and lets you take the driving seat. There are hundreds of customisation options, to keep you busy for literal hours – especially during the endless summer vacation, more about which to come. At all times, you should bear in mind that a clean and welcoming campus will attract more students, which means more income: financial management to fund both new building construction and student happiness is one of the main pillars of the game. ‘City’ building has more of an emphasis in this game, so fans of building games will be more engaged – this is mainly because with Two Point Hospital, patients flitted through the wards at speed: on campus the students will stay for a game year (about 20 minutes of real time play). One of your jobs is overseeing the graduation of those students who have reached their third or fourth year and welcoming the new cohort. Do note, if students have too much of a good time at night, they might claim they can’t attend classes the next day which could make satisfaction and achievement stats fall, so don’t supply too much tempting mid-week entertainment! As with the previous game in the series, this one does not take itself too seriously, offering classes such as Knight School, where you can learn to be a medieval knight (other quirky classes include Gastronomy and Robotics). The characters have a cute and enjoyable cartoon style, which makes the game even more fun to play through. THE NITTY GRITTY With each building, there are some basic requirements that you must fulfil – books must appear in any building called a library, for example – but otherwise you can add whatever features you like. And you can keep coming back to redo and continue fitting out rooms as more items are unlocked as you progress through the game. You have to ensure that you provide all the buildings that a university would need, from lecture theatres, to classrooms, and libraries, as well as hosting events and extra-curricular activities. Staffing is also up to you: you must hire everyone from lecturers to janitors and everything in between. Student happiness is key, so you must take care not to allow your attention to focus on one area of the game alone. The game gives you a list of objectives to achieve, but then lets you work through them at your own pace, exploring elsewhere or simply having fun – as long as you keep balancing the finances, building and student happiness of course! The exception to this is during the endless summer holiday (you can make it last as long as you need) when you can devote all your time and attention to complete your sandbox modelling of the campus, using cash reserves and getting everything ready for the new school year. Like its predecessor the game is set in Two point county. The whole student body falls into groups of archetypes – rather like high school, but much cuter so you can follow their progress and recognise the ‘types’ as they go about their college experience. The graphics are fun and quirky and add to the overall enjoyment of the game – listen out for the student radio station as a hidden treat. Gameplay is easy and intuitive, but there are enough diverse tasks to keep you coming back for more and not getting bored – and then, of course, you can use the summer vacation to make dramatic any changes to the campus that you deem necessary. WHAT THEY NEED Things the students need: Housing: you must make sure that you have enough dorm space for the size campus you have built. Being cramped or isolated will make your students deeply unhappy, and they might take their money elsewhere Feeding: students are always hungry, so make sure that you place cafeterias anywhere they might be needed! Educating: not only must you put on a good array of classes, but you must supply high-quality lecturers and comfortable and attractive lecture halls too Entertaining: pizza slices, nightclubs, bars, events that you stage for them – there is a wide range of things with which you can tempt your students to keep them happy, not lonely, and spending money. Just be careful not to make things so much fun that they start skipping classes…
