Scythe: Digital Edition Steam Altergift
Scythe: Digital Edition is an adaptation of a board game called Scythe. The production was developed by The Knights of Unity studio, and its release on PC, AND and iOS was taken over by Asmodee Digital.
Scythe: Digital Edition takes place in the 1920+ universe created by Jakub Różalski, or more precisely - in the alternative version of 1920, where on the battlefields you can meet not only infantry, cavalry and vehicles known from history books, but also mechs. The player takes on the role of the leader of a selected faction, and his task is to lead his army to victory and domination over Eastern Europe.
Before playing Scythe: Digital Edition, we choose the group we want to lead, and we select skills that will help us achieve the so-called hidden goal. We start the struggle in a position determined by the unique capabilities of our faction, at the beginning we receive a certain number of resources (strength, victory points, movement possibilities and popularity).
The actual game takes place on a map covered with a grid of hexagons - this is where we conquer new territories (thus gaining access to a wider range of resources), erect various constructions (to strengthen our position), recruit units (we are talking about both soldiers and gray citizens, working "at the root" for our victory) or, finally, we activate mechs that are the trademark of the brand (their presence can effectively stop the opponent from trying to attack our lands).
Interestingly, little depends on luck - apart from the previously mentioned hidden goal, as well as randomly drawn cards, which determine the result of meetings with the inhabitants of the presented world, and those that temporarily increase our possibilities in combat, all the rest is the result of decisions made by us. What's more, there is also no division into rounds here; the authors also do not allow the elimination of the remaining participants of the game.
