Story
The game is based on the Sword Art Online brand, initiated by a series of Japanese novels by Reki Kawahara, and then adapted, among others, by for series, animated films and comics. Sword Art Online: Lost Song is, along with several other productions (including Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment and Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization), part of an alternate storyline where the events took a slightly different course than in the books. Thanks to this, we encounter well-known characters and places, but the authors were not limited only to recreating the story of the original.
The action of Sword Art Online: Lost Song takes place entirely inside the virtual reality MMORPG Alfheim Online, maintained in a magical fantasy atmosphere. The plot revolves around Nanairo "Seven" Arshavin, a Russian woman who has the status of an idol in the VR environment, and uses this position to conduct controversial experiments examining the impact of this technology on the emotions of users.
Gameplay
Sword Art Online: Lost Song is an action RPG in which the fun focuses on exploring the world, developing characters, completing tasks and, above all, fighting using an arcade system. The player can play the role of the protagonist of the entire brand, i.e. Kirito, or choose one of a dozen other playable characters.
There is also an option to create your own hero. The player can recruit up to two other characters controlled by artificial intelligence. An additional attraction is that all heroes can fly (everywhere except dungeons). This is useful not only for exploration - battles also take place both on the ground and in the air. Each hero can use up to three weapons. The development system is closely related to weapons and is done by unlocking new skills assigned to each of its types.
