Out of Space is a cooperative independent game set in space, where, together with other inhabitants of our space station, we have to take care of the base, keeping order, supplies and protecting it from alien attacks. The game is developed by Behold Studios known from such productions as Chroma Squad or Knights Of Pen and Paper .
Story
The time has come when you and your friends can live in your dream home in space. It turns out, however, that things are not as rosy as you thought. In addition to the mundane duties of cleaning, managing the resources necessary for life, one quite unexpected falls on you: the fight against aliens. They regularly attack your home and make life difficult.
Gameplay
In Out of Space, the gameplay is divided into missions. Each of them takes place in a procedurally generated house, which makes the game somewhat difficult, but also requires strategic thinking. Only thanks to fruitful cooperation and good planning of activities are players able to properly combat the accumulating dirt and repel alien attacks. We observe all actions here from the isometric projection. Before us, we take care of the garden and regularly water the plants that give us food, clean the rooms with water and a mop, repel alien attacks and collect the slimy substance from them (which we then transform into energy to power our ship), build new devices or take care of the rest of the characters. Technologies that we discover during the challenges play an important role in the game. Thanks to them, we improve our work and we can automate some of our duties using robots. All of this makes us more efficient, which makes it much easier to deal with the headquarters. In addition, we can adopt one of the animals that help us as a thank you as much as possible. Over time, missions become more and more demanding and more difficult to plan activities and divide responsibilities.
