A Year Of Rain is a real-time strategy, developed primarily for multiplayer fun. Behind the creation and release of this production is the German studio Daedalic Entertainment, whose portfolio includes such items as the Blackguards, The Whispered World and Deponia series, as well as productions such as The Pillars of the Earth or The Dark Eye: The Curse of Crows.
Story
A Year Of Rain takes us on a journey to a fantastic world in conflict. There are three factions waging war for influence here: House of Rupah, Wild Outcasts and Restless Undead. While playing, we take control of one of these groups and try to lead them to victory.
Gameplay
In A Year Of Rain, the action is shown from a bird's eye view. During the game, we acquire raw materials, expand our headquarters, and recruit soldiers, which we then send to fight. The list of the latter includes both infantry and cavalry, as well as special units like the cleric who heals wounded allies or the Djinn attacking enemies with powerful combat spells. As we progress, we increase the combat potential of each of our subordinates, unlocking new skills and developing existing ones, as well as working on various improvements (such as stronger armor). In addition, an important role is played here by heroes with abilities, the skillful use of which can change the fate of many battles.
