Alice: Madness Returns is a continuation of the TPP action game from 2000. The first installment was created by the now defunct Rogue Entertainment (known for such productions as Strife and Quake II: Ground Zero ). The Spicy Horse studio, founded by game developer Americana McGee, is responsible for the second part of Alice's adventures. The developer has developed, among others, the work of American McGee's GrimmStoryAlice, after ten years of fighting catatonic schizophrenia caused by the tragic death of her parents, gets a chance to return to normal life. However, the trip to London does not bring the expected relief, because the lack of a rational explanation for the tragic departure of Alice's parents does not allow her to sleep peacefully. It seems that the best way to solve this matter is to use the services of a psychiatrist who can put you in a state of hypnosis. A visit to one of them, however, ends with a return to Wonderland, which has significantly degraded in Alice's absence.GameplayAlice: Madness Returns is a third-person action game in which time is spent exploring new locations, as well as fighting various types of enemies. Alicja has many types of weapons at her disposal, including a kitchen knife and deadly cards. The expedition is accompanied by characters known from the Wonderland stories. The game is divided between overcoming typical platform stages and fragments in which the player focuses strictly on combat. The game also features simple logical puzzles, present in the first part (e.g. an attempt to find the passage among the countless number of doors). Well-known lands have also returned - the castle of the Queen of Hearts, the Valley of Tears, or the Fortress of Doors.
