Conan Unconquered is a real-time strategy game with tower defense elements. The project was developed by Petroglyph studio, with such titles as Star Wars: Empire At War, Universe at War: Earth Assault, Gray Goo or Forged Battalion. In addition, many of the developers working in this team have contributed to the Command & Conquer series.
Story
As the title suggests, the game is based on the novels and short stories about Conan's adventures in Cimmeria by Robert E. Howard. The action of the game takes place during the so-called The Hyborian era, a fictional period in the history of the ancient Earth, with the reality resembling a dark fantasy.

Gameplay
The authors openly admit that their main inspiration was the hit They Are Billions. Conan Unconquered is therefore an RTS enriched with tower defense elements, where players at each level build a fortress and gather an army to repel the invasion. The enemies attack in waves, each of them more dangerous than the last. The game takes place in real time, but at any time we can press pause and give orders calmly. This option is very useful, because apart from the enemies themselves, we also have to deal with e.g. with fires and plagues.
While playing, we collect and manage resources and construct many different buildings and defensive structures, including walls and traps. There is also the option of building temples, which allows you to gain favor of the gods as well as summon their avatars to the battlefield. In our armies they can fight, among others infantry, cavalry and warlocks. In addition to standard units, it is also possible to unlock powerful heroes, including Conan himself.
