Popup Dungeon is an RPG with strong elements of the roguelike subspecies . The production focuses on the great freedom of the game, enabling players, among others creating your own abilities and items. The title was developed by the independent studio Triple.B.Titles. The publisher is Humble Games. Gameplay Popup Dungeon is a production with a gameplay style referring to classic board games. As in the case of board games, we look at the action from above - from an isometric perspective . We are dealing with an RPG title that is also deeply rooted in the roguelike sub-genre - for example, the vast majority of the content in Popup Dungeon is randomly generated. The gameplay is based mainly on exploring locations, fighting monsters (a turn-based system was used) and performing various types of tasks. The production offers dozens of heroes that we can control, several hundred types of enemies and even more items. There are also over 1.5 thousand abilities at the players' disposal (our characters develop during the game). What's more, users can create their own content - including items, skills and spells - or modify existing content. The system responsible for this is very simple and intuitive - it does not require any programming knowledge or experience in gamedev. Game modes The Popup Dungeon we can play alone or with others . The basis of the game is the single player mode, but the production also offers a local co-op mode. In addition to the main campaign, players can also take part in other stories (including those created by other users) or casual games. Popup Dungeon allows you to create almost any scenario and refer to various genres and conventions (e.g. science fiction, steampunk). The rules can also be largely adapted to your expectations. An interesting option is the Dungeon Master mode, in which, in addition to designing our own challenges, we can also take control of monsters. Carto is a fairytale-like production in which a little girl travels the world by maneuvering terrain tiles. The game is developed by Sunhead Games studio, and its release by Humble Games, known for such titles as Forager, TemTem or Void Bastards. In the game we play the title Carto, a girl who is looking for a way home and has the unique ability to move terrain tiles, thanks to which she can get to normally inaccessible places. During our journey, we travel through various biomes that differ not only in appearance, but also in the characters and culture that inhabit them. And so, ahead of us is a journey through forests, desert, meadows, swamps and so on. Carto also encounters a number of NPCs on his way; most of them need help in return for which they share a tip telling which direction to go next to get home. Carto is a 2D adventure game from above, full of logical elements related to the unique power of the heroine. This consists in the fact that at any time we can enter the screen with a map of the terrain divided into square tiles; often on one tile different biomes are adjacent to each other, like on tokens from the well-known board game Carcassonne. While on the map screen, we can freely rotate and move the tile on which the heroine is located, transporting her to another part of the world. The only requirement is that the biomes marked on it match the place we choose: the forest must touch the forest, the water must touch the water, etc. At the beginning these puzzles are simple, but the further into the forest (literally), the more and more complicated combination is waiting for us.

An important role is also played by making friends with NPCs and exploring the world, including dungeons full of monsters and traps. Staxel is an RPG game released on the PC platform, enriched with elements typical for sandboxes. It was developed by the Staxel Team studio. The action of the game takes place in a sleepy town located in a fantasy land, the shape of which, together with its surroundings, is randomly generated each time you start a new game. The production offers a lot of freedom of action and does not have a clearly defined plot. We can, among others plant plants, collect crops and sell them at the local bazaar, or develop decorative gardens. There was also a crafting system that allows you to construct new items. In this way, we obtain, among others furniture and tools. Trading option is also available. The town and its surroundings are inhabited by many NPCs and interactions with them play a key role during the game. Good relations with people and other races allow you to gain access to new resources, items, activities and tasks. The maps are not limited to the town itself. Outside its borders, we can find, among others forests inhabited by elves or being the domain of mole-people of the underworld. There are also dungeons typical for RPGs, in which the most valuable items and resources are often hidden. Obtaining these treasures requires fighting monsters and solving logical puzzles. Staxel allows both solitary fun and multiplayer games. In the case of the latter option, players set up their own servers, where users can jointly work on farms, construct buildings and go on expeditions to the dungeons.

Void Bastards is a science fiction first person shooter. It was enriched with strategic elements and typical for roguelike production. The project was developed by Blue Manchu studio, with the highly acclaimed Card Hunter. The development team included people who played key roles in the production of titles such as System Shock 2 or BioShock. Story The action of the game takes place in the distant future and follows the journey of the Ark, on which the prisoners are detained. The leitmotif of Void Bastards is getting out of the Sargasso nebula, densely packed with drifting wrecks of spacecraft. This task is undertaken by subsequent prisoners and in the event of the death of one of them, the deceased is automatically replaced by the next one. Void Bastards does not have an extensive storyline. We only learn the general assumptions of the game and after starting the actual game we focus only on gameplay. During the campaign, we do not receive any quests, because the whole game focuses on constructing story items that will be helpful in escaping the nebula. However, there were also simple cut-scenes that took the form of comic book cards. Gameplay Void Bastards is a genre hybrid in which the gameplay is divided into two levels. In strategic mode, we always see only a fragment of the nebula. We need to skillfully manage our supplies of food, fuel, ammunition and other raw materials, as well as decide where to go. Traveling to lower levels of the nebula allows you to advance in the campaign, but on the other hand, it is associated with greater challenges. The void of space is patrolled by star whales and pirates, so in the early stages of the game it is necessary to avoid contact with these threats. There are also random events on the galaxy map, such as the appearance of a wormhole, an automated store where we can buy the most necessary supplies, or a storehouse of valuable loot.
