LYFA PEANUT 250 Pendant Opal/ Brass
Design: Bent Karlby for LYFA, 1946 Concept: PEANUT 250 A lamp designed based on Bent Karlby's hatred of the then prominent fluorescent tubes. His negative attitude towards the cold and harsh light that fluorescent tubes offered meant that he wanted to go the exact opposite way and create a lamp that had soft shapes and a pleasant light. The PEANUT lamp houses a design that has only become more popular over time. The stylish mouth-blown opal glass, combined with a brass top and base, creates a lamp that would undoubtedly fit anywhere in the home, whether it hangs over the dining table, the sofa, or as lighting over the kitchen counter. This pendant also clearly reflects LYFA's ideology that form should follow function, and not the other way around. At the bottom of PEANUT there is a diffuser that can be removed if needed, should you want a more direct light on the dining table or workstation. PEANUT is available in three different sizes, 175 , 250 and 400 respectively.
