Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns is a PC expansion pack to the 2016 Hearts of Iron IV strategy. It is not a standalone expansion, so it requires the base game to work. Both titles were issued by the employees of Paradox Developments studio, which also has such titles as Crusader Kings II, Stellaris, or Europa Universalis IV.  Instead of introducing revolutionary solutions, the authors decided to add new content and develop several elements of the basic game. In the case of Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns, they focused on expanding the naval aspect of the war. The player gets more options to design his own ships, being able to decide, among others, about armour or type of weaponry. There is also an option to upgrade older models so that they do not differ from newer fleet acquisitions. Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns is a PC expansion pack to the 2016 Hearts of Iron IV strategy. It is not a standalone expansion, so it requires the base game to work. Both titles were issued by the employees of Paradox Developments studio, which also has such titles as Crusader Kings II, Stellaris, or Europa Universalis IV.  Instead of introducing revolutionary solutions, the authors decided to add new content and develop several elements of the basic game. In the case of Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns, they focused on expanding the naval aspect of the war. The player gets more options to design his own ships, being able to decide, among others, about armour or type of weaponry. There is also an option to upgrade older models so that they do not differ from newer fleet acquisitions.
