Gameplay Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age introduces completely new elements to the series, absent from its previous numbered versions. We observe the action from the perspective of a third person. By controlling the selected character, we explore large and often open three-dimensional locations. Our team has a maximum of six people, but there are only three on the map at the same time. The title does not use the system of random encounters and fights in separate arenas, for which Final Fantasy is known. Instead, players attack enemies directly on the world map. The fights take place in real time, but the game offers an active pause, in which we calmly give orders to the hero by selecting them from the pop-up menu.  In addition to the standard Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age campaign, it also offers additional game modes. New Game plus allows us to start the game anew, preserving the experience and equipment gained. In New Game minus we start the game anew, but this time they don't gain any experience.
