Destroy All Humans! is a humorous action adventure game in which we play the role of a dangerous alien terrorizing our planet. The production is a complete remake of the first installment of the series, which was released in 2005 on Xbox and PlayStation 2. The team from Black Forest Games (Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back) is responsible for its creation. Originally the Destroy All Humans series! was developed by the now defunct Pandemic studio (Battlezone II: Combat Commander, Dark Reign 2, original Star Wars: Battlefront, The Saboteur) and has a total of four installments, the last of which went on sale in 2008. The story featured in Destroy All Humans! takes place in the United States in 1959. The main character of the title is Cryptosporidium-137, a large-eyed and gray-skinned alien belonging to the cosmic Furon race, whose appearance reflects the most popular ideas about visitors from outside the Earth. The protagonist arrives on our planet carrying out a mission entrusted to him by his superior named Orthopox-13. Its purpose is to find the missing Cryptosporidium-136, which is preparing plans for an operation to mass extract DNA from human bodies. It is necessary for aliens to support their species, which has lost its reproductive abilities and is only protected from total extinction by cloning technology. Humans have in their genetic code key Furon DNA particles that are left over from alien visits to Earth in ancient times. During his adventure, Cryptosporidium-137 must face the American military, as well as secret government organizations that may be responsible for the disappearance of his kin.
Action in Destroy All Humans! was presented from the perspective of a third person. The players control Cryptosporidium-137 directly, which has fantastic weapons taken straight from the classic B-class science-fiction movies.
