Sheltered is a survival strategy game set in a gloomy, post-apocalyptic reality, in which our goal is to protect the life and health of a family hiding in an underground nuclear shelter. The game is the debut project of the 3-person Unicube studio, realized thanks to the support of the crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. The publisher's duties were assumed by the well-known, among others from the Worms series, Team 17, as part of its own support program for independent authors.
Story
The plot of the game presents a grim vision of the world after a nuclear catastrophe. People hiding in underground shelters suffer from limited resources of food and water, and any going outside may end up with death at the hands of hungry, mutant beasts or other people - ready to do almost anything to survive. In addition, prolonged isolation does not have the best effect on the psyche, arousing a feeling of loneliness in a person, increasing fear, suspicion and a tendency to violent reactions. In such circumstances, the main character of the game has to take care of a family of four, trying to ensure its safety and take care of basic life needs.
