The Escapists: The Walking Dead is a kind of spin-off of The Escapists - a simulator of escapes from prison in February 2015, in pixel-art 2D style and with a top-down view. Although the new production uses very similar gameplay mechanisms, this time we do not play the role of a convict, and in addition, the action takes place in the world after the zombie apocalypse known from the title comics by Robert Kirkman (in Poland under the title The Walking Dead ). Unlike the original, this production was not prepared by an independent studio Moldy Toof, but by Team17, famous for developing the Worms series . Gameplay In The Escapists: The Walking Dead we play the role of the protagonist of the comic book original - policeman Rick Grimes. The events shown in the game and their chronology are roughly in line with the original story. We start in a deserted hospital, where Rick awakens from a long coma (which he fell into as a result of a gunshot wound in the last action) to discover that the United States has changed beyond recognition as a result of the zombie epidemic. In the next stages, we visit other places known from the comic book cards, and we also meet characters invented by Robert Kirkman, who join our hero.
