As we probably know (or not), this plan, despite initial successes (capturing the Waal bridge in the Dutch town of Nijmegen), ended in a general failure (the most important bridge on the Rhine, located in the city of Arnhem, was never captured and held), and Before the participation of the British 1st Airborne Division (which also included the Polish 1st Independent Parachute Brigade) was encircled and completely destroyed by the German counteroffensive. However, we should not worry too much about it - then the Allies could not count on the commitment and skills of computer players.Our heroes were assigned to a reconnaissance unit and sent straight to the front. Of course, such an extended range of tactical options fundamentally changes the way of fighting. For example, we can order a group of "mortars" to flood the Nazis with fragmentation missiles, or use the machine gun section to continuously fire at the adversary's positions, significantly limiting the room for maneuver of the enemy infantry. Such a powerful weapon has great possibilities to modify and impoverish the elements of the surrounding landscape - all hedges, walls and palisades can be shot off, torn and destroyed with a few accurate arrows from the above-mentioned. armament.A natural consequence of the increase in the number of our subordinates was a significant expansion of the areas in which we come to face the Nazi opposition. The programmers had an easier task, as the areas of Operation Market Garden were intensively monitored and photographed by reconnaissance and spy aviation in 1944, many of these materials have survived to this day. On the basis of these photos, with almost one hundred percent accuracy, it was possible to map the battlefield and prepare larger battlefields than was the case in both previous parts of Brothers in Arms. Cardinally, this increases the freedom of action, both at the operational and tactical levels.
