The main protagonist of Realms of the Haunting is Adam Randall - the son of a pastor, who, at the behest of a mysterious priest, sets off to a village in Great Britain called Hellston. The priest assigns the young man the task of exploring the abandoned estate.GameplayThe authors of Realms of the Haunting tried to combine a classic adventure game with an action game set in the first person perspective. Both elements are extremely important in the Gremlin Interactive product , although the logic puzzles seem to be dominant at many moments. Fans of exploiting gray cells, however, must bear in mind that from time to time they will have to face numerous representatives of the hellish horde and these will be typically arcade battles, similar to the struggles with traditional FPSs: Doom , Duke Nukem 3D or Blood .
