No More Heroes is a dynamic third-person action game in which we play the role of a geek who has become a professional killer. The production is another work of talented Japanese developers from the Grasshopper Manufacture studio, also responsible for the interestingly designed item called killer 7.
The main character of No More Heroes is a certain Travis Touchdown - the so-called otaku (to put it simply, it is a Japanese word for extreme geek) who, after ordering an energy katana (beam katana) at an online auction, decides to become a professional killer. The protagonist tries to gradually build his position on the list of the most prestigious murderers, mainly by eliminating rivals.
In No More Heroes, we observe the action from the perspective of a third person. The gameplay boils down to exploring the city called Santa Destroy, fighting enemies and performing various types of tasks. The player moves around the open world on foot or using a motorcycle called the Schpeltiger.
The main weapon of the protagonist is an energetic blade resembling lightsabers from the Star Wars universe. We can also perform attacks taken alive from wrestling (the hero is a fan of this form of entertainment), and also use the powerful dark side, which is another reference to Star Wars (it is a special trance that allows you to perform spectacular executions on enemies).
It is worth noting that Travis also has a base in the form of a motel room, where he can rest and change clothes. The game features an extensive collection of T-shirts for the protagonist, with over a hundred patterns (of course, most unlock as you progress through the game).
