Aesthetics and power The Korg Monologue is a fully programmable analog monodic synthesizer, intended for all musicians, which shares the spirit of the famous minilogue but with a completely revisited system and powerful features. Equipped with a 25-key keyboard, we find the elegant appearance, the principle of one button per command and the high-quality manufacture of the minilogue. Filter, modulation, saturation and LFOs can create powerful bass or piercing highs and thus deliver superb tones that showcase their one-voice system. The capabilities of the step sequencer have been extended to allow for a more complex and intuitive construction. Revisited monodic analog electronics The Korg Monologue incorporates monodic analog synthesis circuits inspired by those of the minilogue. But that does not mean that the monologue is only a monodic alternative to the minilogue. This is a powerful instrument, featuring a new section for envelopes, modulation routing and an efficient filter. In addition to the circuits of the minilogue, there is a bipolar filter that delivers an aggressive sound. The value of the LFO can be adjusted at an extreme speed, unknown until now, to produce spatial tones, or it can be switched to one-shot mode to transform into an additional envelope. The keyboard uses the keys of the minilogue and the MS-20 mini, in order to adapt to the playing of any musician, with a range that covers the notes from E to E. A 16 step sequencer for high quality sequences. The monologue step sequencer has been enhanced to offer complex, easily modifiable and applicable rhythms. It allows both realtime and split recording (overdub) and step recording by simply pressing the keys in the desired order. The Motion Sequence control allows you to record up to 4 knob rotations to apply a temporal variation of the sound. A built-in oscilloscope to display the signal. The Oled screen displays the waveform in real time as you build your sound. This visualization is intended to be both educational and entertaining and constitutes a first in the world of the synthesizer. The monologue provides a moving display that shows the level of parameters for the motion sequences to be viewed as they unfold.
