As a third-person action-adventure game, it removes its RPG gloves and instead focuses on bringing you on an immersive journey through the eyes of Cyrus. If you’ve wanted to try the Elder Scrolls series, but haven’t quite enjoyed the RPG elements such as character building and customisation, this is definitely the game for you. Greymoor is a DLC expansion for the multiplayer online RPG The Elder Scrolls Online. The expansion introduces a brand new area of Greymoor - the titular region located in the western part of Skyrim. There, an evil Vampire Lord rises from his slumber to take over the land for his infernal legions. In addition to a new region to explore and a new story to experience, Greymoor includes several new gameplay mechanics such as an antique system, new trials, events and rewards. Greymoor has been met with a positive reception. Initial impressions of the game indicate how friendly the game is to players who have never played ESO before, opening up a new world and a new story to explore. A new world to explore Greymoor offers players the opportunity to experience the gameplay of The Elder Scrolls Online, even if this is their first foray into Skyrim. The expansion is set 1,000 years before the Dragonborn set out to defeat Alduin, and introduces a new story and characters. Players will be able to create a new character for themselves and experience all that Greymoor has to offer.   The expansion adds new features, including new events in the game world in the form of Harrowstorms. These fallen storms have been plaguing the region, turning everything they touch into monsters and draining the land of life. Silencing them will be one of the player's tasks in the area. New trial missions - Kyne's Aegis - will pit players against the Sea Giants in defense of a besieged fortress. No less important are new rewards, locked in chests scattered throughout the region. These contain a variety of items, from collectibles to achievements and more. The Antiquities System is another new addition to the gameplay, allowing the player to explore Tamriel's past. By excavating artifacts from the past, the player can gain valuable knowledge about the history of the land and gain fame as a successful archaeologist. Ancient Evil Rises 1000 years ago, Tamriel was a land of peace. Evil forces wanted to destroy that peace and establish their own reign of terror. The Vampire Lord, an ancient being from Tamriel's dark past, rises in the west of Skyrim. In the snows of Greymoor, he gathers his forces to strike at Tamriel and subjugate it to his will. It is up to you to stop the evil from spreading across the land. Will you be up to the challenge? Begin your journey A new tutorial and standalone story, Greymoor is made for new players. Explore the iconic land, 1000 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Explore the unforgiving homeland of the Nords, both above and below ground. Protect the world of the living from an army of vampires, werewolves and witches. Greymoor was initially met with a positive reception. Among the superlatives, critics noted the attempt to introduce the Skyrim region to a new group of players who may not be familiar with its rich lore. Another element that was well received by reviewers was the Antiquities system, which brought a bit of historical digging to the usual gameplay in The Elder Scrolls Online.
