A bit about the practical This fabric consists of 92% organic cotton and 8% elastane; choose the length you need for your DIY project! When working with jersey, we recommend that you use a jersey needle, characterised by having a medium point – also known as ball point. The needle easily penetrates the knitted quality and prevents stitches and threads from running. For this type of jersey, we recommend jersey needles in size 70/80. Partly organic Products with this label have an organic content of at least 25%. This might be fabrics with organic cotton mixed with other fibres. We created this label so you can easily identify the proportion of organic content.

Woven interlining white

Freudenberg’s iron-on canvas is a lightweight, soft and fusible interfacing made of 100% cotton. The interfacing is 90 cm wide. Fix the interfacing WITHOUT steam. Just press for about 8-10 seconds at medium iron temperature (2 dots). Move the iron. Press firmly and continue until you have fused the adhesive on your sewing project. We recommend that you do a fuse test on a small piece of fabric before you start. Allow the fabric piece to cool. Iron-on canvas is ideal for use with light and medium-weight shirt fabrics and similar fabrics made of cotton. Use a lightweight interfacing to stabilise and stiffen small sections, such as collars, pockets and bodices on blouses, jackets, etc.

Woven viscose white

Light, colourful and a beautiful drape! Viscose is a popular fabric for many fashion designs. It's a light and soft material with good breathability, while also being comfortable to wear.  The beautiful drape is especially pronounced in tops, dresses, and shirts, where even with the simplest designs, you achieve a stylish look. The design is up to you: Does the shirt need a small collar? The top a boat neck? Or are you into ruched details?  That being said, viscose is also well-suited for light trousers. We prefer them with a bit of width in the legs, so you once again benefit from the lovely drape.  Choose from many stunning colours.  What is viscose? Viscose has been used for clothing for over 100 years. The fabric consists of processed and regenerated cellulose, for example from wood pulp or cotton waste. It resembles natural fibres like cotton and silk.  Some practicalities The fabric is 100% viscose, is 130 cm wide, and you can of course choose the length you need. Wash at 40°C, iron at medium heat, and allow to air dry. Expect 5% shrinkage after washing.  Remember to use the right needles – we recommend using a universal needle or a microtex needle in size 70. 

Organic 1x1 rib cotton, white

It's a natural material that lets your skin breathe, and it's comfortable to work with when you're sewing. Find your favourites among the many different colours - mix and match, or go all in on your favourite colour. You buy the fabric by the metre, so you can get just the length you need. Rib is a good choice for your sewing projectRib fabric in 1x1 is a soft piece of fabric knitted with a fine and uniform structure that makes it perfect for a wide variety of DIY projects. Use it for tops, t-shirts and leggings for both children and adults. The quality is unmistakable - it's soft and just the right amount of stretch to make cotton great to work with and wear. The FabricThe rib fabric is knitted and made of 97% organic cotton and 3% elastane. It is 145 cm wide and you should expect it to shrink approximately 6% in the wash. We recommend that you wash the fabric before starting to pattern, cut and sew to ensure the best result matching the right size. Please remember to use jersey needles (item no. 46799 or 46028) when sewing in rib fabric. OrganicThe products labelled organic consist of minimum 95% organic material. The stretch provides freedom of movement, and overall, it's just a light and delightful quality.  What is slub stretch jersey? This name refers to a classic knitted jersey fabric with stretch, where "slub" refers to the fine little irregularities in the fabric due to varying thread thicknesses. It provides a slightly rustic look.  Some Practical Information This fabric consists of 96% organic cotton and 4% elastane. You choose the length you need for your sewing project – the width is 155 cm. The fabric shrinks 6% when washed.  When working with jersey, we recommend using a jersey needle, characterised by its medium tip – also known as ball point. The needle easily penetrates the knitted quality and prevents stitches and threads from running. For this type of jersey, we recommend jersey needles in size 70/80. Organic Products with this label consist of 95% organic content or more. Shiny satin white

Sewing in satinFancy a glossy look for your DIY project? Then you should consider satin! The special weave gives a nice glossy front, a more matte back and a nice shiny look! Our Savina satin is available in many beautiful colours! Find your favourites and order exactly the length you need. Beautiful designs in satinUse satin to create beautiful accessories for everyday and on special occasions. For example, sew a puffy bag or tote bag that you can use for everyday and on special festive occasions. You can also choose to use the shiny fabric as a lining in your project; it adds a beautiful finish. And then, of course, you can use satin for clothing - for example, a nice satin shirt, a pair of cool satin trousers or maybe a jumpsuit with a drawstring waist. The fabric has a width of 135 cm and shrinks about 3% in the wash. It can be washed at 30°, always hang dry and iron at low heat. TIP: Use good quality fleece and interfacing to stabilise smaller parts like collars and cuffs. We recommend ironing it on before cutting out the pattern pieces - and remember to iron without steam (water can leave small stains and the high temperatures from the steam can change the surface of the fabric!) Cotton satin white

Cotton satin - the best of both worldsHow about trying our soft cotton fabric in a range of beautiful colours for your next creative project. It's soft and comfortable to work with.Satin refers to the way the fabric is woven. This means that when we say cotton satin, it has the same beautiful weave as more 'classic' satin, while the cotton quality gives a more matt finish to the fabric.  And what can you use cotton satin for? Well, that’s entirely up to you. We prefer using it for bed linen. The natural material of the cotton in the delicate satin weave makes for some really lovely home made bed linen. As with so many other cottons, it is also suitable for clothing. Cotton is comfortable to wear and the fine weave gives it a nice finish - for a summer shirt or skirt, for example. Cotton satin is also perfect for a tablecloth for the table. Sew the tablecloth yourself or select "Sew as a tablecloth" and we will sew it for you (click on the text for details). Practical information about cotton satinMade from 100% cotton, it's soft and fluffy and, as always, you buy the fabric by the metre, so you get exactly the length you need. The fabric is 145 cm wide, has a weight of 130 grams and shrinks about 8% in the wash. You can wash it at 60° and iron at medium heat - but avoid the tumble dryer; let it air dry instead. TIP: Finish your seams properly - satin tends to fray a lot. You could also consider using a wider seam allowance to secure your seams or use overlock stitching. As always - test your seams on a scrap piece beforehand to see which technique works best for your piece of fabric.
