Mafia III for PC, PS4 and XONE is the next installment of the acclaimed series of third-person action games, created by Hangar 13 studio, consisting of former employees of 2K Czech. The first part of the series, entitled Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, was released in 2002 on PlayStation 2, Xbox and personal computers. The title was warmly received by the gaming community, but we had to wait for its continuation until 2010, when Mafia II for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC saw the light of day. The production turned out to be a good, albeit controversial position, which caused mixed opinions among fans. However, this did not prevent 2K Games from spending money on the production of three. We heard about it for the first time in August 2012, when sources from the Czech Eurogamer announced the start of work on the game Mafia III. However, we had to wait until July 2015 for the official announcement.  The action of Mafia III for PC, PS4 and XONE was set in 1968, in the fictional city of New Bordeaux, modeled on New Orleans, and the main protagonist is Lincoln Clay - a Vietnam war veteran, belonging to a small criminal organization. However, his group was betrayed, and the people closest to him were brutally liquidated, which is why the leitmotif of the three is to take revenge on the torturers of their comrades, and in particular on the person of Sal Marcano, who is the donor of the Italian family responsible for the massacre. Interestingly, in his mission, Clay will be able to count on the help of other bosses of the criminal world, and his allies will be joined by the Irish mafioso Burke, the commander of the Haitian gangsters, Cassandra, and Vito Scaletta, known from the second part of Mafia.  Although the action of the game has taken place in open worlds since the beginning of the series, its third installment in terms of gameplay has come quite close to the competitive Grand Theft Auto series. The streets of the city are filled with a number of side activities that we can take care of during the breaks between subsequent missions, but all of them are to have a significant impact on the plot.  An extremely important novelty in relation to the previous installments of the series is the introduction of the possibility of taking over the illegal interests of hostile groups. After weakening the position of the local mafia boss, we can attack his headquarters and take ownership. The acquired estate can then be handed over to one of our associates, called lieutenants, thus gaining access to various types of bonuses, e.g. the possibility of summoning reinforcements that will help in the fight against rivals or the option of bribing law enforcement officers to stop the pursuit.  Passing on new interests and, consequently, districts to our subordinates is associated with another interesting mechanics, which is to reflect the tensions in criminal groups. Well, our lieutenants can react nervously when we hand over too much power to their competitors, which can lead to conflicts. The player must therefore take into account that at some point he will have to suppress a rebellion in his own ranks.  The Season Pass grants access to three major expansions over the course of a year, each introducing unique new criminal story lines, characters and gameplay features to the world of New Bordeaux. Plus, get access to exclusive expansion-themed vehicles, weapons and more within each release.

BioShock 2 Remastered on the PC platform is a refreshed version of the second installment of the cult series BioShock, which was prepared by 2K Games. We are dealing with a FPP shooter, enriched with elements taken from the RPG genre. The title is available both as a standalone item and as an element of the BioShock: The Collection compilation. BioShock 2 Remastered takes place eight years after the events of the first part of the series. The player once again has the opportunity to visit the city of Rapture - an underwater complex, brought to life as a kind of utopia, as well as a shelter for the most outstanding representatives of the human race. Things got complicated with the discovery of ADAM - a mysterious substance that gives its host supernatural abilities, while also leading to irreversible mutations in the body. This was the direct cause of the outbreak of the civil war and, as a result, the fall of the city. The main character of the game is Object Delta - one of the prototypical Big Daddy. These powerful creatures were created to protect the Little Sisters, tasked with retrieving ADAM from the bodies of the dead inhabitants of the underwater metropolis. Eleonora Lamb, the daughter of Sofia, known from the first installment of the series, was entrusted to his care. Ten years after committing suicide, the hero is resurrected by his ward. His main mission is to save a teenage girl from her own mother, trying to transform her into the embodiment of her ideals. As was the case with the first BioShock, the plot is non-linear, and the game is enriched with new threads. In addition, the decisions we make are once again reflected in one of several endings. We get to know the historical background again thanks to the so-called "audiologs", recordings informing about the events that took place in Rapture in our absence. Playing BioShock 2 Remastered on the PC platform focuses on exploring the environment, solving various puzzles and fighting with enemies on the way. For the needs of the game, the developers have prepared a number of new locations, such as Fontaine Futuristics, a kind of ADAM processing plant. Walks on the bottom of the ocean are made possible by the scuba diver's outfit in which the protagonist is dressed. Due to the fact that we no longer play the role of an ordinary person, but the prototype of Big Daddy, the developers managed to introduce a lot of changes and improvements to the game. The hero stands out from his peers with the possibility of using Plasmids - the aforementioned supernatural abilities, allowing for example the control of the elements or the use of telekinesis. In addition to splicers and other Big Daddies, the defeating of which is not a major problem for Object Delta, there are new adversaries in the form of so-called Big Sisters. They appear when we deal with all Little Sisters present in a given location. Big Sisters are not only extremely fast and agile, but also well-equipped, so facing them is a real challenge even for a colossus like the protagonist. An extensive arsenal comes to the rescue - Object Delta uses both firearms and a giant drill, or a powerful air cannon called the Rivet Gun. In addition, we can use Plasmids and firearms simultaneously this time, which significantly expands the range of options available on the battlefield.

Mafia II for PC, X360 and PS3 is a continuation of the gangster action game Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, developed in 2002 by the Czech studio Illusion Softworks. The same development team is responsible for the creation of the game, which in 2008, after being taken over by Take-Two Interactive, operates under the new name 2K Czech. In addition to both installments of the Mafia series, the team has also made two well-known series of tactical shooters Hidden and Dangerous and Vietcong.In terms of the story told, Mafia II retains the plot with the first installment of the series (including numerous flavors and references), but this time the action takes place several years after the events described there (turn of the 40s and 50s), and during the game we take over control of a completely new hero. In the game we play the role of a certain Vittorio Scaletti, who in 1945 ends his military service and returns to his hometown of Empire Bay. Together with his old friend Joe Barbaro, our protagonist tries to find himself in a new reality in which the pinnacle of dreams is a stable job for starvation at the nearby docks. Our hero, however, does not intend to follow in the footsteps of his peers and, wishing to ensure a decent life for himself, slowly enters the path of crime, and as the game progresses, he becomes a full member of the influential, local mafia family.The gameplay mechanics in Mafia II are almost in all aspects an extension of the ideas used in the predecessor that was published eight years earlier. The place of action here is again a city with an open structure of about 10 square miles - the monumental Empire Bay, which is in fact quite a loose, virtual adaptation of New York (in the game we meet, among others, such characteristic buildings as the Empire State Building or the bridge Brooklyn). The city is divided into several different districts, including Little Italy, Chinatown, an industrial or port district, a district of the rich, as well as slums). As in the original, the axis of the game is a fairly linear storyline, which should take a total of about 10-15 hours to complete. Subsequent tasks are quite varied, offering, among others spectacular skirmishes with members of rival mafia families, car rides during which we have to follow someone or run away from the police, and even challenges involving the necessity to act from hiding. However, the player is not forced to follow the plot path and in the course of the game can also devote himself to numerous side plots and additional activities.Compared to the first installment of the series, Mafia II offers much greater freedom of action and the possibility of unhindered exploration of the city around us, which lives its own life and tempts with a large number of not entirely legal attractions. While playing, we can steal vehicles (by breaking glass or a bit more subtly), choosing from over 50 models modeled on real brands, and then improving and modifying them in the workshop. In Empire Bay, we will also find a lot of shops where we can buy clothes, eat or get new weapons. Our protagonist has also gained a range of new skills and now he can, for example, fist with more blows, hide behind various covers, and jump over obstacles. As the action of the game takes place a bit later than the events of the first Mafia, we are also accompanied by slightly different, even more cruel realities, as well as a completely different city style and much faster cars.
