The production marks the debut of the American company in the video game industry, but the team itself consists largely of experienced developers. In New World, we find ourselves in a world inspired by the aesthetics and atmosphere of 17th-century American colonies. The action of the game takes place on the fictional island of Aeternum. The mysterious substance Azoth present there is both a source of great power and the cause of all misfortunes and plagues. The secrets of the flood are also guarded by the magical forces of nature and its ancient inhabitants. New World is a MMORPG with an open, sandbox world, largely shaped by players. We can cultivate land and obtain materials from animals and plants, make tools and weapons, build buildings and even entire settlements. Each territory can be managed both visually and financially, for example by imposing its own taxes. The land is constantly transforming - the passage of time is visible even in the changing seasons of the year. Players can follow any path they choose, cooperating with others or choosing the path of loners, but it is worth noting that we will gain the greatest profits by cooperating with others during the most dangerous tasks. The land is full of supernatural creatures and wild animals, and you can optionally fight with other players. However, death during the game is not punished in any way. The combat system is dexterity and can be associated with the Dark Souls series. Actions such as attacks, dodging and running require stamina, which depletes quickly, but also regenerates as long as we have a moment to rest. We also have firearms at our disposal. The heart of the game is the huge siege battles. They are played both in PvP mode, with a hundred players facing each other, and in PvE mode - then fifty players fight against three times greater forces controlled by artificial intelligence. There are siege engines, wall-mounted traps and a system of battle points that allow you to buy various temporary boosters.
