Canadian HB Studios is responsible for the creation of the game, continuing the traditions of the erstwhile series of Electronic Arts, which has also collaborated with EA on such brands as Cricket, Madden NFL, NHL and FIFA. Like its immediate predecessor, Rugby 15, the production was released on a wide range of hardware platforms, including popular PCs. The individual versions of the game differ mainly in terms of the visuals.As you can easily guess, the main distinguishing feature of Rugby World Cup 15 compared to the slightly earlier Rugby 15 is its focus on the title World Cup competition. In the game, we can therefore lead one of the top 20 rugby national teams, starting from the qualifying phase, through the actual tournament, to the final. As befits the official game of the event, Rugby World Cup 15 did not lack, of course, faithfully reproduced stadiums and licensed teams - with the original names of players, costumes and anthems.In terms of mechanics, we are dealing with basically the same production as Rugby 15 - a large number of the shortcomings of its predecessor were also duplicated. However, the creators made a number of minor fixes and modifications that affect the overall quality of the game. These include, first of all, improved AI of players, improved work of judges or minor changes in the control system. The whole thing is a bit easier to learn, which will certainly please less experienced players.Rugby World Cup 2015 focuses primarily on the title World Cup and it is the tournament mode that is the basic variant of the game. In addition, we can take part in a training game or a single match for up to 4 players. Unfortunately, the game does not provide an option to compete over the Internet, so the multiplayer game can only be played in the local mode.
