Characters can join, among others to orders, forbidden cults and heretical Gnostic movements. Powered by new members, organizations grow in strength, gaining more and more influence and increasing the prestige of the people at their head. The existence of these groups opens up additional types of actions for characters and leads them to new paths of events. Joining religious orders does not require a habit, as these organizations also offer positions for lay people. Membership provides bonuses to piety, but also results in certain obligations. Joining secret cults is much more risky, but has the potential to be highly profitable. Within each group, characters get the ability to climb the ranks of the organization, which allows them to unlock new skills and activate new chains of events.
