Fable Anniversary is an action RPG, prepared by Lionhead studio on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the original, first released on the Xbox console and twelve months later on the PC. The product allows you to visit the fantastic land of Albion again and play the role of the nameless Hero who wants to take revenge on the bandits guilty of the death of his family.
Gameplay
Compared to the original, the creators did not make any major changes to the plot, but it is worth mentioning that Fable Anniversary includes a built-in Forgotten Tales expansion, extending the campaign by several more hours of gameplay. The main character of the game is a boy who witnesses the attack of bandits on the village of Oakvale and the extermination of its inhabitants, including members of his family. The child is then taken in by Maze, a representative of Albion's Hero Guild. Under the supervision of professionals, he undergoes thorough training and a few years later he officially joins the ranks of the elite group of heroes.
The game provides great freedom of action - the number of available activities systematically increases with the opening of new locations and obtaining special-purpose items, e.g. fishing rods and shovels for digging up treasures. The main goal of the campaign is to complete tasks, both those included in the main storyline and numerous side missions. In Albion, you can also come across NPCs in need of help. Lionhead Studio provided the possibility of solving problems in various ways that determine the attitude of residents to the Hero. In Fable Anniversary, you can only do good deeds and do whatever you can to become a bad person. Our actions are reflected in the appearance of the characters. For example, if we are an oasis of goodness, an angelic halo appears above the head of the daredevil.
