Brouwerij Verhofstede Edelweiss Krieken Likeur 20cl
Brouwerij Verhofstede Edelweiss Krieken Likeur The history of Brouwerij Verhofstede dates back to 1885, and Stefanie De Jaegher (who later married Julien Verhofstede). Initially Beer was brewed, but in the 1960's a move into spirits occured. Now with over 130 years of experience, and four generations of the same family they continue to create a range of delicious drinks. In creating their burgundy, flavourful Krieken liqueur, Brouwerij Verhofstede use freshly fresh sour cherries. This is made only once a year, and the process is completed in a single day. The fully-ripened cherries are picked during the day, and immediately processed (even including the stone and stalk). The fully ripened cherries ensure a liqueur which has a slight sweetness to and is full of cherry flavours. Due to the production process, the cherries impart slightly different flavours every year. Take a cocktail shaker filled with ice and add 25ml of Brouwerij Verhofstede Elixir Christiane, 20ml of the Krieken Liqueur, 30ml of fresh lime juice, 20ml of ginger syrup, and 10ml of sugar syrup. Shake well until the shaker fells very cold. Strain the cocktail into a chilled tumbler or rocks glass.
