Ketel 1 Jenever This Jenever takes its name from the Ketel (still) used in its creation. Ketel 1 is the oldest copper pot still in Schiedam (the historic home of Jenever in the Netherlands). and is still in use today. With over 325 years, and 11 generations of the Nolet family watching over it's production, there is a lot of history and expertise used in its creation.  This Jenever is created using pure ingredients. Grain distillates are mixed with an aged grain spirit, along with a carefully selected (and still secret) blend of herbs. The distillers believe this is best savoured quietly, which allows the flavours to speak. It's fresh and full on the palate with notes of juniper and pepper. The finish is exceptionally long, ending soft. More from Ketel One Perfect Serve Easily enjoyed on its own, from a Tulip glass - this jenever also works exceptionally well in the mix. Try a 'Dutch and Stormy' cocktail for instance. Take a large glass, or copper mule mug, and fill with ice. Add 50ml of the Jenever, and 20ml of freshly squeezed lime juice. Glenfiddich Single Malt 12Y Scotch Whisky 1L

Glenfiddich Single Malt 12Y Scotch Whisky Having been founded in 1886 by William Grant, the first whisky ran from their stills on Christmas Day in 1887. The name actually name comes from the location of the distillery, situated in the glen of the river Fiddich. In scots gaelic Glenfiddich means 'valley of the deer', hence the stag found on the bottles. This whisky has been produced since 2008 and is awarded the world over. It's also the most awarded at the IWSC and claims the distinction of being the world's best-selling single-malt whisky. It's known for both its freshness and distinctive fruitiness, both a result of its production methods. The freshness comes from the highland spring water (used since 1887), and the fruitiness form the high cut point which was insisted on by William Grant himself.  The maturation occurs in both american oak, and european oak sherry casks for at least 12 years. Mellowed in oak marrying tuns to ensure a sweet, yet subtle oak flavour.  On the nose the renowned fresh and fruity aroma comes through with a hint of pear. The taste has fruity notes with a characteristic sweetness. These develop into a creamy butterscotch, delicious malt notes and subtle oak flavours. Grant's Triple Wood Whisky It was in 1887 that William Grant opened his distillery, and it was very much a family affair.... he was helped by his seven sons and two daughters. In fact, to this day, (six generations from when it started), Grant's is still family owned, and stays true to the founders original (and closely guarded) recipe. Three's play a big part in Grant's Whisky, from the three sided bottle, to their three ingredients' of Scottish water, Air and Barley. However it's their Triple Wood, held in their name and process which makes them quite different. They mature their whisky in three different types of barrels; Virgin Oak (providing a robust spiciness), American Oak (giving a smooth vanilla flavour) and Bourbon refill (which gives a brown sugar sweetness, and a smooth mellow taste). Once matured, these are blended to give the Grant's Triple Wood Whisky which is known and loved the world over. On the nose this is a whisky with a complex aroma, blending ripe pear and delicious summer fruits. On the palate this has a vanilla sweetness, which is perfectly balanced with notes of malt, and light florals. The finish is pleasantly long, with a balanced palate of sweet and smoky.
