Citadelle Gin Mini Since 1996, Château de Bonbonnet in the southwest of France has been the home of Citadelle Gin. Citadelle is proud of its geographic location, and from this they take inspiration. Thie aim was to distill the essence of their region into one perfectly crisp spirit. It takes time to make Citadelle gin. There are 19 botanicals that make up Citadelle. These are infused, depending on their flavour profile, for between one and four days. This is crucial so that Citadelle can acquire its full flavour profile. After this, it is then distilled in small copper stills over open flames in order to develop its suppleness and full rounded character in the mouth. Citadelle Gin exudes subtle aromas of fresh flowers which are highlighted by more assertive citric scents. In the glass, it emanates more intense, herbaceous notes of juniper and anise; which is then followed by the spicy cinnamon side which softens the nose. This brings a very gourmand dimension to the gin. On the palate, the juniper is forward, but cedes to a long, voluptuous, spicy fragrance. There are three distinct traits within Citadelle which offers its complete aromatic richness. Juniper its signature. It doesn't hide from the fact its a gin, and juniper forms the key base of Citadelle. This is joined with citrus - this is a complementary note that underlines the juniper. Then there follows the exotic - this offers an additional level of enjoyment with touches of pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon, which gives Citadelle its delicate spiciness. Overall its a beautifully balanced gin. Elegant, soft and and long in the mouth, definitely a taste of summer France in a bottle. Ron Esclavo XO Cask Rum Mini The Ron Esclavo series of rums contains four delicate rums from the Dominican Republic, all of which are tropically aged. Each has been created with passion, using the fresh juices extracted from hand-cut sugar cane. The aging is then completed in American and French oak barrels.  They have been created as an homage to the slaves who were instrumental in the history of sugar cane and rum. (Esclavo is even the Spanish word for slave).  Crafted by Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, the largest alcohol producer in the Dominican Republic, they use only sugar cane grown in the Dominican Republic on their own plantations. In this way they ensure they give back to the community, securing work for locals and ensuring the perfect quality. Ron Esclavo XO Cask Rum is a deep brown, slightly reddish high abv aged rum that has been matured for 12-15 years. On the nose, there are sweet and sour notes combined with hints of coconut and beeswax. On the palate, there is an silky, oily texture. The passionate beekeepers (and spirit-lovers) have united both worlds by creating a well-crafted liqueur, using the base of Save The Queen Gin which contains a hint of honey and is a great combination with the elderflower. Cointreau Created in 1849, Cointreau's original recipe, rituals, and commitment to quality have been passed down through generations of the family, transforming a family name into an international brand. Using only quality ingredients, Cointreau source oranges from Brazil to Spain, and Ghana to Morocco. They utilise a blend of the sweet and bitter orange peels and blend them.  The result ia balanced, versatile, and exceptionally aromatic. Whilst the bottle is a deep amber colour (and instantly recognisable), the liqueur inside is transparent. When opening the bottle you are instantly greeted by the blend of oranges. Zesty, fresh and floral, it has a sweetness to it too. The flavour is fresh yet it lingers pleasantly on the palate and is (unsurprisingly) intensely orange in flavour. For a White Lady, pour 30 ml of Cointreau, 30 ml of gin (we like the Botanist), 30 ml of fresh lemon juice and 1 egg white into a cocktail shaker. Add ice, and then shake until the ingredients are mised and well chilled. Pour into a cocktail glass, and garnish with a twist of lemon. Or for a slightly sweeter drink, try a Breakfast Martini. Pour 15ml of Cointreau, 50 ml of gin (again, Botanist works well here), 15ml of fresh lemon juice and this time 1 tbsp of Orange Marmalade into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until chilled and well mixed. Strain into a cocktail glass, and garnish with a twist of Orange peel

Malibu Original The history of Malibu goes back to Curaçao where it was created specifically to help bartenders make piña coladas.  Now known the world over, this coconut flavoured liquer is made from a Caribbean rum base which is produced at the West Indies Rum Distillery (in Barbados).  Known as 'Sunshine in a Bottle', this liqueur has a lightly toasted coconut aroma which follows through into the taste. It has creamy coconut joined with vanilla (almost custard like) notes. The body is delicate with a soft recognisable and warming rum taste and has a long, silky finish. Vørdings Gin Characterised by the distinctive fragrance and taste of hand toasted cedarwood, this gin has a light smoky and refined character. It's further enriched with hints of orange, juniper and cinnamon. The result is a silky smooth distilled and fresh tasting gin. The aroma doesn't disappoint, with a hit of fresh citrus, pine from the juniper, and warm cedar notes. On the palate, there is silky citrus, which is followed by a slight smokinedd from the cedarwood. Juniper is there, but certainly doesn't overpower. The finish is of spicy verbena, the cedarwood lingers delightfully as well, and a mild coriander in the aftertaste. Delicious! Made at the Gin Mare distillery, a thirteenth century chapel located in an ancient fishing village between the Costa Brava and the Costa Dorada, skilfull distillation turns this gin into a culinary work of art. Created using Spanish olives as the star ingredient, Gin Mare goes much further. They also utilise a variety of other botanicals from the Mediterranean region. Hernö Gin Hernö is de eerste toegewijde jeneverstokerij in Zweden en is gevestigd in Dala aan de hoge kust van Zweden. Ze produceren alleen biologische, ambachtelijke gins, die geïnspireerd zijn op de natuurlijke schoonheid van Zweden. Dit is een soepele en goed afgeronde London dry gin, en is de meest bekroonde gin in Europa, en met een goede reden! In de neus heeft het een duidelijk jeneverbesaroma, dat wordt afgerond met citrustonen, maar ook een bloemige complexiteit heeft. Een soepele gin, omhult de mond en heeft een milde smaak van koriander. Dit smelt al snel in een zachte zoetheid die combineert met vanille en cassiabast. Terwijl de smaken wegsmelten, resulteert de afdronk in een aanhoudende citrus- en jeneverbessmaak met slechts een milde hint van zwarte peper.
