Copper in the Clouds Marmalade Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Marmalade Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Marmalade Gin Created in 'The Distillery at Dowsett's Farm', Copper in the Clouds gin is a small company creating premium gin's in Hertfordshire. Historically, Hertfordshire (a county just to the north of London) was the hunting ground of the British Royal family, and is still relatively rural with numerous forests. They create their gins using locally sourced premium wheat spirit. Where possible, they use locally grown and sourced botanicals, and have even started growing some of their own botanicals on the farm in their recently created botanical garden. This attention to detail ensures a quality, and unique range of gins which they can rightfully be proud of! Each of their bottles is a piece of art itself. With this gin, they capture a marmalade cat (ginger) lying on a slice of bread peeling oranges - along with a rabbit and a jar of marmalade. This isn't just called a Marmalade gin due to the citrus uses in its creation, they actually use real marmalade! This is created using by the team at the distillery themselves. They use pink grapefruits, seville oranges and the peel from blood oranges in it's creation. This gives the gin a rich flavour, with an orange colour to it. This is entirely natural, and comes from the marmalade itself. As well as the marmalade, the other botanicals include juniper berries, coriander seed, licorice and angelica root, as well as more citrus flavours from orange and lemon peel. As you would expect, the flavour and aroma is sweet and zesty, exactly as you would expect from marmalade! More from Copper in the Clouds Perfect Serve As this is already a sweeter gin, we recommend enjoying with a lighter tonic. Fentimans Naturally Light Tonic works really well. However, if you want to increase the citrus flavours, try using their Valencian Orange Tonic. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of your chosen tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a fresh orange wheel. It also works well in a spritz, when mixed with soda water, or even Prosecco. Truly versatile, it also adds an enticing edge to cocktails.

Copper in the Clouds Lychee & Raspberry Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Lychee & Raspberry Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Lychee & Raspberry Gin Created in 'The Distillery at Dowsett's Farm', Copper in the Clouds gin is a small company creating premium gin's in Hertfordshire. With this gin, they capture a Panda in China, carrying baskets of fresh raspberries and lychees. In creating their Lychee & Raspberry gin, they utilise a base gin which contains 8 vibrant botanicals, including fresh garden mint and whole sicilian lemons. They then allow this to rest for a week, over fresh lychees. This imparts the flavours, and sweet fragrance from the fruit in the gin. They then blend local raspberry juice, which adds its pink colour and a sharp refreshing bite which perfectly balances the sweetness of the lychees. Whilst there is a delicate sweetness to this gin, there is no added sugars. The sweetness itself comes purely from the ingredients used in its creation.  The name says it all with this gin! The other botanicals support the stars of the show, which are the Lychees and Raspberries. As mentioned, there is a sweetness too, but not at all over-powering and feels very natural. A delicious blend of flavours, with east meeting west (in Hertfordshire!). More from Copper in the Clouds Perfect Serve As this is already a sweeter gin, we recommend enjoying with a lighter tonic. Fentimans Naturally Light Tonic works really well. If you like it a little sweeter still, try with Fever-Tree Raspberry & Rhubarb Tonic. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of your chosen tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a few raspberries.

Copper in the Clouds Hertfordshire Dry Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Hertfordshire Dry Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Hertfordshire Dry Gin Created in 'The Distillery at Dowsett's Farm', Copper in the Clouds gin is a small company creating premium gin's in Hertfordshire. Historically, Hertfordshire (a county just to the north of London) was the hunting ground of the British Royal family, and is still relatively rural with numerous forests. Where possible, they use locally grown and sourced botanicals, and have even started growing some of their own botanicals on the farm in their recently created botanical garden. This attention to detail ensures a quality, and unique range of gins which they can rightfully be proud of! Each of their bottles is a piece of art itself. With this gin, they capture an elegantly dressed stag (a Hart is an old name for a stag, and is why the county is named as it is). With their Hertfordshire Dry gin, they have tried to create a gin which answered the question “What would our county taste like distilled?”. They have utilised distillery grown lemon balm and lemon vernena - which gives earthy, vegetal notes. Locally sourced Hertfordshire Lavender ensures an elegant floral note. There is also a touch of smoke and spice from black and green cardamom.  The result is a classic gin, with a delicate floral twist - totally unique to Hertfordshire! Fun Fact: Emma was born and raised in Hertfordshire, and Gary grew up literally around the corner from the distillery - so it's great to have a 'home grown' gin in our range! More from Copper in the Clouds Perfect Serve Delicious enjoyed in a classic G & T, and we particularly like this one with The Artisan Drinks Co. Classic London Tonic. However, it also works particularly well in a Red Snapper Cocktail (the gin version of a Bloody Mary). Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add 60ml of the gin, 120ml of tomato juice, 15ml lemon juice, 7.5ml of sugar syrup, 4 dashes of Worcestershire Sauce, 7 drops of hot sauce, and a pinch of celery salt and black pepper. Shake well, and strain into a tall glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a stick of celery (keep the leaves on the top!)

The Kraken Black Spiced Rum Unknown Deep Copper Scar 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Mango & Black Pepper Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Mango & Black Pepper Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Mango & Black Pepper Gin Copper in the Clouds gin, gecreëerd in 'The Distillery at Dowsett's Farm', is een klein bedrijf dat premium gin's maakt in Hertfordshire.

Copper in the Clouds Gin Minis Gift Set 4 x 5cl

McQueen & The Violet Fog Gin 70cl

McQueen & The Violet Fog Gin 70cl

McQueen & the Violet Fog Gin Created in Brazil, in the hills of Jundiaí to be exact, McQueen & the Violet Fog gin is produced. This is a gin which, the producers say, is far from simple. One where they have "flipped the script". The Jundiaí area is well known for making rum, but not so much for gin. However this gin aims to change that. Similar to rum they use a high-proof sugar cane base for the gin, but the similarities stop there. They infuse a total of 21 botanicals into the alcohol base. Sticking to tradition, notes of juniper, citrus, fennel seeds and orris root are used, but added to this can be found Indian basil leaves, rosemary from Portugal, Calamansi from the South Pacific, Star Anise from Vietnam, and locally grown Acai berries. In addition, Lemongrass, pomelo and jasmine flowers are also included. This creates a deliciously different gin, which is complex yet delicate on the flavours. On the nose this gin is complex, with a number of nuanced aromas greeting you. Earthy and floral notes are joined with hints of the forest floor. These are joined with floral notes of magnolia, pine needles, and a hint of bitter bark.  The flavour profile is as intruiging as the aromas. It's bright at the beginning, with crisp notes of citrus and apple along with a kick from rosemary. The fruity notes merge into earthy juniper notes on the mid palate, and then blend further into savoury herbaceous notes towards the end. Fun Fact: The name itself sounds mysterious.... it's a fragment of poem by Instagram poet Atticus about a fictional rock concert. Perfect Serve This is a delicious gin, which whilst delightfully complex has a delicious delicacy about it. As such, it's easily enjoyed sipped neat over ice. However by adding a good neutral tonic, such as Fentimans Connoiseurs Tonic, the drink is enlivened and more flavours come to notice. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of your chosen tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a simple sprig of rosemary.

Snow Globe Orange & Gingerbread Gin Liqueur 70cl

Snow Globe Orange & Gingerbread Gin Liqueur Not only does this delicious Orange & Gingerbread flavoured liqueur taste great, but it also comes presented in a Snow Globe bottle. (This has an integrated LED light, which lights up the christmas scene found within). Within the bottle there is genuine 23k gold leaf flakes, which when the globe is shaken, cascade like golden snowflakes (and the gold leaf is even edible!). The Snow Globe bottle itself is a work of art itself, and is made in Italy. Giving delicious and decadent christmas flavours, the Orange & Gingerbread gin liqueur is delicately spiced and a real indulgent treat. It has zesty up-front flavours from seville oranges, and a warmth from the gingerbread flavours along with cinnamon and dried cloves. It's also presented in a beautiful gold-foiled gift-box, so that if you aren't tempted to keep it yourself, it would make it the ideal present for loved ones this holiday season. Pour over 150ml of ginger beer (we like Fentimans). Squeeze a wedge of orange in the drink and then use as a garnish. Gustav Arctic Cloudberry Liqueur 50cl

Gustav Arctic Cloudberry Liqueur 50cl

Gustav Arctic Cloudberry Liqueur The story behind Lignell & Piispanen (the creators of the Gustav range of spirits) goes back to 1852. A family run business from then until today, it was started by Gustav Ranin when he purchases the Crown Distillery (itself founded in 1783) situated in the city of Kuopio (around 400km north-east of Helsinki) in Finland.  Right from their beginnings, the company has taken inspiration from the pristine forests and marshlands of their region. They handpick the berries and plants from this region, which are the pure raw materials within Gustav Spirits.  Their 170+ year history, attention to detail, and flavours found in their pristine landscape come together to create their delicious Gustav Spirits. The cloudberry is found around the northern hemisphere, in the North of Russia, the Nordic countries, Canada, Greenland and the north of America. It is an amber coloured fruit and quite sour in flavour. When sugar is added it has a flavour which is something like a cross between raspberries, blackberries and redcurrants. Making their golden coloured Cloudberry liqueur, Gustav use real cloudberries and sugar. It has a rich berry aroma, and a deliciously sweet berry flavour.  More from Gustav Perfect Serve This is delicious served with soda water, making a fresh and fruity longer drink. It can also be added to, vodka or gin, and a neutral soda, lemonade or tonic water for something a little different.
