Homefront: The Revolution is a new approach to the FPS shooter released in 2011, which, although not appreciated by critics, was quite popular among players. The title was produced by the Dambuster studio (formerly Crytek UK), replacing the creators of the original - the Kaos Studios team. After the collapse of the original publisher THQ, the rights to the brand were bought by Crytek, and later by Deep Silver, which allowed for the continuation of work on the game.  Story The plot of the game continues the plot of the hypothetical conflict between North Korea and the USA. Four years after the start of the bloody occupation of the United States, the ever stronger centers of the resistance are preparing the final revolution against the Asian invaders. We move to the streets of the destroyed and occupied Philadelphia, where, as members of the local partisans, we will try to thwart the ruthless enemy. In the game, we get to know the fate of completely new heroes who, alone or in cooperation mode, will face a much better equipped Korean army. Gameplay Unlike the linear part of the first one, Homefront: The Revolution for PC, PS4 and XONE takes place in a partially open world , in which the order and method of completing individual tasks depend mainly on the players. As members of the resistance movement, we gain the opportunity to recruit people to help. In addition to dynamic, open combat with the use of various types of weapons and vehicles, the so-called The yellow zones also require the use of guerrilla techniques and silent operation behind enemy lines. Our base is a hideout, where during the break between successive missions, we improve our weapons and equipment.

The player continues the journey of the 23-year-old main character: Artyom. He escaped from the Moscow subway to roam the lands of former Russia. However, he is not alone - he is accompanied by the so-called Spartan Rangers. They all try to get to the far east. We meet Artyom in the Urals, near the Volga River. He jumps on the locomotive Aurora, which has the task of going to the east. There he hopes to start a new and better life together with his wife Anna. The entire plot closes in one year, and the gameplay revolves around the four seasons. Guardians are hunters who come in packs. They are most dangerous in groups, a lone mutant is a piece of cake for a Spartan. Humanimal loves the night. He looks like a human, but he is definitely not one. He loves dark places and abandoned buildings. His behavior may resemble that of monkeys, they attack as soon as they see you. The shrimps look like, yes, you guessed it, normal shrimps. This form of water mutant likes to attack from a long distance. The demon is a huge beast, the most deadly in this world. It hunts alone and poses a great threat to Spartans. It is better to avoid him at all costs. Gameplay in Metro Exodus The gameplay in Metro Exodus is mainly based on shooting, exploration and stealth. The game is filled with a lot of horror and gore elements. Metro 2033 had two different endings. For the purposes of the sequel, the creators had to decide which of them would turn out to be true. Ultimately, the more pessimistic of the finals was chosen.Metro: Last Light is an action game with a first-person perspective. Most of the time, our task is to break through the linear levels and shoot enemies. At the same time, the fun is diversified by stealth sections, in which the best tactic is to eliminate enemies silently. In addition, the creators drew inspiration from the survival horror genre. This means that we often run out of ammo, and quite a few levels are designed to scare players.Compared to the first part, more large locations have appeared where it is possible to use different tactics and choose several paths to the goal. Compilation sequences, the artificial intelligence of opponents and the dynamics of clashes have also been improved. The arsenal of available weapons has also been expanded. It is worth adding that the exciting clashes, however, do not dominate the survival horror sequences known from the previous Metro. The proportions between the two styles remained the same as in the first part.
