Super Lucky's Tale is a three-dimensional platformer. The project is the responsibility of Playful Corporation - the creator of the previous installment of the series, simply called Lucky's Tale. The production is one of the titles released under the Xbox Play Anywhere program - when you buy the Xbox One version in digital distribution, you get the Windows 10 edition for free (and vice versa).
Story
During the game we play the title fox Lucky, who, together with his sister, tries to recover the Book of Ages from the evil Jinks. For unknown reasons, the wicked wants to change the world, and is helped by a gang of young villains called Kitty Litter. Fortunately, the main character can count on his friends, including Yeti and Kooky Spookies.
Gameplay
Super Lucky's Tale is a classic platformer for PC and XONE. Developers from the Playful Corporation studio used patents known from other productions of this type, combining them into one neat whole. The gameplay is therefore mainly about exploring individual locations, including, for example, villages of worms and swamps with crocodiles. Lucky is a skillful fox that can jump, move objects, climb and even dig in the ground. We use these abilities while playing, overcoming successive platforms, avoiding obstacles, solving simple puzzles and collecting gold coins.
The gameplay is watched from the TPP perspective, although the creators have also prepared special levels with challenges that were implemented in the side-scroll convention. The camera then shows the hero's actions from the side, thus referring to the classic two-dimensional platformers.
