Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth - Rising Tide is the first DLC for Firaxis' space-themed spin-off of the main Civilization series. It introduces a host of new and improved features, including new biomes, aliens, and opening up oceans for colonization.Rising Tide expands on systems from the base game, making it an even more unique production. In Civilization: Beyond Earth - Rising Tide, players can create new cities on the surface of the oceans. Unlike their land-based counterparts, floating cities can move freely through the water, one tile at a time. This will give them access to technologies hidden in the depths. Moving floating cities will force you to develop new strategies and break from old habits. Discover aliens and resources beneath the surface, exploit them, and move your city in search of more. Now players have access to a variety of technological unlocks that allow them to influence and even control native flora and fauna. Aliens can be pacified to prevent them from attacking your units, even if their nests are attacked, they can be directed towards your enemies to attack them. But most importantly, once you unlock the Leash option, they can be made into obedient pets of your Citizens.
