Gotcha Racing 2nd is a continuation of the racing game that hit the Nintendo 3DS in 2015. The production described here appeared on the PC, PS4 and Switch platforms, and the authors of the original, i.e. Arc System Works studio, are responsible for its development. In Gotcha Racing 2nd we observe the action from a top-down perspective. During the game, we sit behind the wheel of a car and race on several routes varied in terms of appearance and complexity. Races are the pillar of the game, in which our primary goal is to cross the finish line in the first position. Success does not only ensure that you know each track exactly - the desired victory can also be won by eliminating or slowing down opponents using various power-ups, and by fighting in a more powerful vehicle. In return for successive victories, we get money that we can spend on the purchase of special capsules covering more powerful machines or over seven hundred parts for the already owned four wheels. The list of the latter includes engine components as well as tires, brakes or even spoilers; they affect, among other things, the maneuverability, grip, acceleration and top speed of cars. All this is complemented by the ability to merge individual elements together, which enhances the effects of their operation. Released on the PC, PS4 and Switch platform, Gotcha Racing 2nd offers a wide variety of game modes. Loners can try their hand at Grand Prix or polish their skills in time trials; the multiplayer variant allows you to challenge up to three players with whom you can race or fight for victory in the arena, where our task is to push all opponents beyond its scope.

Despite the frightening death traps across the enigmatic island, J.J. is able to revive from death endlessly. Many traps and gimmicks can be overcome only by bringing harm to your body, such as being struck by an iron ball, or by dismemberment. Be wary of your surroundings and look for ways, conventional and unconventional, to get through the island. You may need to use your limbs as weight, or even break yourself in two to get through smaller spaces. Sometimes you can find tips by sacrificing your own body through dismemberment, being crushed, jumping into fires, and more. But don’t worry as you can revive yourself as many times as needed to find your way through the island. J.J. scours Memoria Island to find her best friend, who has gone missing during a camping trip. However, this island was like a nightmare: no matter how many times she sustains a lethal injury, she couldn’t die and instead is able to revive herself back to normal. J.J. ventures into the depth of the island as she drags her decapitated body along, enduring the pain. Her limbs may sever, her neck may break, she may go through severe burns, but... In order to save her best friend, she puts her own body and life on the line, reviving infinitely, as she presses forward. Why did she go missing? What is going on in this world? All of these mysteries shall be revealed when the game is cleared.
