The free-standing units act as an interface between the analogue telephone system and the amplifier.Key FeaturesOperated by simply dialling the BT5BT8 extension number.Each unit is supplied with an IEC mains lead.Connect to a telephone extension socket and the public address amplifier.Fully approved by BT approval number S24553H452969.The BT5 will provide the user with an acknowledge tone followed by a chime optional OPT33 fitted. A live broadcast announcement can then be made.Upon completion of the broadcast the BT5 will disconnect from the PA system and release the telephone extension ready to accept another call.Outputs are selectable from line or microphone level.Priority level control available.

Baldwin Boxall VIGIL2 Slave Router BVRD2S adds 12 Inputs 16 Outputs and 12 MessagesVIGIL EVAS slave units enable expansion of the EVAS BVRD2M DSP-controlled router. There are currently two models in the range.Key FeaturesUp to five slave units can be added to each BVRD2M master - enabling a maximum total of 68 inputs 87 outputs and 30 messages.Adding a BVRD2S to a BVRD2M increases the number of inputs available by twelve the number of outputs by sixteen and adds another twelve messages.Adding a BVRD2SLT to a BVRD2M increases the number of inputs available by six the number of outputs by eight and adds another six messages.The slave units mount directly on top of the master unit.To minimise rack wiring the power and communications between master and slave units are through an internal data link.All connections are made to the BVRD2S using RJ45 connectors.The bypass all call enable switch can be used to prevent an all call message from being broadcast to the selected outputs. This is often used if one of the outputs is being used as a local monitor.The BVRD2SLT can be upgraded to a BVRD2S providing a solution for future system expansion this is a factory fit upgrade.

Fire telephones emergency telephones and toilet alarms are constantly active.This prevents accidental or deliberate misuse as the remote units remain dormant until activated.In order to activate the system for non-emergency use it is necessary to override the fire panel. This is achieved by connecting a break glass unit BVCRBG to the master control panel.Enables weekly testing and routine maintenance - as set out in BS5839-92011.
