Baldwin Boxall 8 Zone Paging Telephone Interface BT8

Baldwin Boxall 8 Zone Paging Telephone Interface BT8

Baldwin Boxall 8 Zone Paging Telephone Interface BT8Our telephone interface units enable staff to make public address announcements from their own desk telephone. The free-standing units act as an interface between the analogue telephone system and the amplifier.Key FeaturesOperated by simply dialling the BT5BT8 extension number. Each unit is supplied with an IEC mains lead. Can be used to broadcast live announcements.Additional facility enables the user to pre-record an announcement. This reduces the risk of feedback where the telephone is adjacent to a loudspeaker. When connected to a telephone system with MF signalling the BT8 enables the user to select up to eight zones via the telephone keypad. An internal selector determines if the recorded message is played once or twice. Can be wired into any two-wire analogue extension port via a designated master extension socket. Another option is to connect the unit to the paging port available on most modern telephone switches. However they are not designed to operate on keyphone system extension ports.Outputs are selectable from line or microphone level.Signal output and zone select connections are via a 25 way D connector.Compatible with our BDM300 range of desk microphones connected via the BMS25 socket box supplied with the microphone. We recommend using our B81R relay unit for the zone select switching. Please note the BT8 is not approved for direct connection to the BT network. Under general approval NSG23J100003 it may be connected to a port on a telephone switch PABX. This unit should only be used with a switchable amplifier input.

Baldwin Boxall Ambient Noise Sensor BVRAMB

Baldwin Boxall Ambient Noise Sensor BVRAMB

Baldwin Boxall Ambient Noise Sensor BVRAMBWhen designing a voice alarm system for areas of variable levels of ambient noise which could cause problems with audibility noise sensors should be included. Correctly placed ambient noise sensors will ensure that all announcements are clearly heard.Key FeaturesTwo versions are available BVRAMB - standard version. BVRAMBIP - IP65 rated version.Monitors the ambient noise in a given area.Automatically adjusts the power of the amplifiers depending on noise level. When the area is at its quietest the level of the announcements or music will reduce.During busynoisy periods the volume level adjusts to suit.Used in conjunction with a BVRDCI CANBUS interface module which connects to the VIGIL EVAS routers.Uses a dynamic microphone capsule the output of which is amplified and converted to produce a variable current. This output is used by the BVRDCI module to produce a voltage that is proportional to the ambient noise.Band pass filtering ensures that the system only responds to ambient noise affecting the intelligibility of announcements. An on-board surveillance tone generator permanently monitors the microphone capsule. A system fault will be indicated should the microphone capsule or on-board amplifier fail. The BVRAMB includes an option to allow one of three response speeds to be selected SLOW - the system will only respond to an average change of ambient noise. MEDIUM - suitable for most installations. FAST - the system will react to short duration changes in ambient noise. Two units can be wired in parallel on the same input to monitor the ambient noise over a larger area.

Baldwin Boxall VIGIL2 Quad 50W Class D Amplifier BV050Q

Baldwin Boxall VIGIL2 Quad 50W Class D Amplifier BV050Q

Baldwin Boxall VIGIL2 Quad 50W Class D Amplifier BV050QThe Vigil2 BV050Q contains four independent 50 Watt Class D Power amplifiers each with one 500 mV balanced input and a 50 Watt 100V Line output. The front panel status indicators show Supply Healthy Overload Over Temperature and Output Level 10 and 100 max output level for each amplifier. The Active Indicator illuminates when the amplifier is not in Sleep Mode. CLASS D amplifiers are 80 efficient therefore reducing unwanted heat dissipation and power input requirements. Rated output power is obtainable using a 22V battery supply. The BV050Q has a Sleep mode automatically reducing the standby current requirement to typically 50mA per amplifier when operating on batteries. Channel gain may be individually set using the potentiometers on the board behind the front panel. The audio inputs to the amplifiers are presented on separate RJ45 connectors each connector providing the balanced audio input and a ground connection. The outputs are presented on 6-way plugscrew termination connectors providing 50V or 100V output. The 24V DC input is presented on a 2-way crimp connected plug and socket. The power output stage of the amplifier is protected against overload conditions i.e. short circuits or abnormal loads etc. Should the amplifier be subjected to an abnormal load the input to the power amplifier is attenuated to a safe level. The amplifiers output voltage is also sensed and should it exceed 100V the input signal will be attenuated ensuring safe operation without creating unnecessary distortion. Over temperature protection is provided using a sensor attached to the output stage heat sink. Should the temperature exceed 90 Degrees Celsius the input signal to will be attenuated to a safe level and the Overtemp LED will be illuminated. If the system is under surveillance it will cause the surveillance detector to indicate a fault condition due to the gain reduction. Up to three BV050Q Amplifier modules may be mounted in one BVMF equipment frame or more normally two amplifier modules and one switched mode power supply charger module.

Baldwin Boxall Impedance Monitor BVLAM

Baldwin Boxall Impedance Monitor BVLAM

Baldwin Boxall Impedance Monitor BVLAMThe BVLAM provides 8 zone 100V line relay switching loudspeaker zone selection from 1 amplifier. It incorporates impedance monitoring on all 8 loudspeaker lines when the zone is not selected. If the load increases impedance decreases the appropriate fault LED illuminates steady and if the load decreases impedance increases the fault LED will flash. The impedance changes for a fault to be detected is selected to either 20 or 40 using the mode DIL switch 8. If the impedance falls to approximately 50 of its original value the line is considered to be short circuit and will not be selected to the amplifier. All 8 zone select inputs will access when it is between 2 to 6.5V. An open circuit access input above 15V will be indicated by the appropriate fault LED flashing and a short circuit access input below 2V by the fault LED illuminating steady.Under all fault conditions the OK LED will extinguish and the common fault relay volt-free contacts to change state.Key FeaturesRack-mountable unit 1U high. Two units can be mounted across one rack shelf.Provides eight loudspeaker zone selection from one amplifier. On receipt of a signal from an input ie zone selecting microphone the BVLAM triggers the amplifier to output to the selected zone.An internal relay enables zone switching. The BVLAM provides constant impedance monitoring on each of the eight loudspeaker circuits when not selected.LEDs are used to indicate a drop or increase in impedance - set at either 20 or 40 by DIL switches.Note due to detection accuracy BVLAM is only suitable for BS5839-8 voice alarm systems with less than five speakers per circuit.Access faults on any of the zones from the microphone are indicated by LEDs on the BVLAM.Additional LED indicators are provided to show system healthy and supply healthy. The Baldwin Boxall Impedance Monitor BVLAM provides a combination of zones relay switches from one amplifier. It changes if a fault is detected.

Baldwin Boxall BVOCTSC16 OmnicarePLUS Local Control Panel 16-Way

Baldwin Boxall BVOCTSC16 OmnicarePLUS Local Control Panel 16-WayOmnicarePLUS makes it possible for very large disabled refuge fire telephone EVC systems to be installed.Up until now it has not been possible to install super large EVC systems. However this has all changed you can now have as many as 8064 outstations on a single system We agree that it is extremely unlikely that a system of this size would be required but what it means is that the restrictions have now been liftedOverall site-wide system master control is carried out by the use of a graphic layout on a touch screen PC. The graphic on the screen is multi-layer providing the user with an easy-to-use and instantly recognisable interface for the system.OmnicarePLUS is not limited to a single touch screen control point additional ones can be added to the system enabling placement in alternative control or security rooms. These will be slavesmimic panels unless full control is transferred to the panel due to compromise of the master control point or if required by the users. For local area control i.e. control of the outstations on a single floorareabuilding block specially designed Omnicare panels are employed. Up to 64 outstations can be connected to a local area control panel. Each local area control panel is able to communicate with the outstations connected to that unit.A standard Omnicare system has the ability to connect to a maximum of 127 outstations. The development of OmnicarePLUS has enabled the installation of much larger scale systems. OmnicarePLUS is made up of multiple BS5839-9 compliant local systems which are then connected to form a network. The benefit of OmnicarePLUS is the ability to communicate with any outstation on any part of the network from a single point. This sitewide control is via a graphical touch screensKey FeaturesAbility to connect up to 125 local control points each with 64 outstations - making it possible to connect up to 8000 remotes.Compatible with the entire range of Omnicare outstations.Choice of copper and fibre single or multi-mode networking.Multi-layer graphical touch screen control - see the location of the remote calling.Automatic incoming call queuing with indication of number of waiting calls.Multiple touch screen control locations with optional mimicking of status and faults.Incoming call logging and audio recording via touch screen control locations. All site wiring fully monitored for faults and any faults will be reported and recorded in a time and date stamped log.The network is fault tolerant so that the system will continue to operate in the presence of a single fault.Calls can be accepted locally at Omnicare panels.Optional pin number-based access control at touch screen control locations.Activity reporting including faults detected with date and time stamp. All call announcements can be made via an MCP - paging will be heard at all fire telephones steward telephones and occupied disabled refuge points.A conference call can be initiated from the MCP or an LCP to communicate with the fire and steward telephones connected to a single LCP.System DesignEach OmnicarePLUS project is unique. We have a qualified team that will design build and test the system to suit your specification.
