EarthNight is a two-dimensional arcade game, included in the so-called endless runners. The American, independent studio Cleaversoft, founded in 2008 by Rich Siegel - a passionate enthusiast not previously associated with the gaming industry, is responsible for its creation, who managed to recruit very young, talented creators to his team.
Story
The action of the game takes place in an undefined, dark future, in which huge space dragons attacked the Earth and took over the planet. Fearing for their lives, the human population found a temporary shelter on floating base ships in space. It is also there that two heroes of the game live their lives: unemployed photographer Stanley and a 14-year-old schoolgirl named Sydney. Not agreeing to such a state of affairs, they decide to use their courage and unusual skills to literally "jump" to the home planet and deal with the reptiles that occupy it, killing as many reptiles as possible.
Gameplay
The game is a typical arcade runner, in which the character moves automatically to the right side of the screen, and the player's role is limited to performing special actions, such as jumps or blows. While playing, we can control one of the two mentioned heroes. They differ in appearance and control scheme, dedicated to beginners or more experienced players. The controls in the game are limited to two buttons and although it is easy to learn, mastering it - necessary to defeat the final boss, will require a lot of determination. Most of the time we will be filled with dynamic platform sequences, shown in 2D and taking place both in various organic scenes and on the backs of giant dragons.
