Peony (Paeonia Lemoinei) Kinkaku
Beautiful variety of Peony with deciduous foliage and large double flowers, exceptionally full of small ruffled petals, golden orange in color and slightly lemon scented, blooms in spring between May/June. It is a shrub with a luxuriant, expansive habit as it continually sprouts at the base. 'Kinkaku' means 'Golden Temple' a fitting name for these bewitching flowers. Often also called by the name of Souvenir du Professor Maxime Cornu.
