Huntingdon Fusion Techniques PurgEye 1000 Remote Weld Purge Monitor API1000

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques PurgEye 1000 Remote Weld Purge Monitor API1000

The PurgEye 1000 Remote Weld Purge Monitor Oxygen Gas Analyser is a solution developed by HFT for measuring oxygen levels during welding processes in long tube lines or pipeline sections, where it may be impractical to measure the purge gas exhaust close to the weld. By fitting a sensing head directly at the weld location, the monitor can measure the oxygen level in the purge gas and transmit the information electronically to a remote monitor and operator located up to 1 km away. This ensures accurate weld purge readings and prevents adverse effects from oxidation. The portable monitor has a range from 1000 ppm down to 1 ppm, with an accuracy of 10 ppm, and the stainless steel sensing head can be easily manoeuvered through pipes as small as 1" (25 mm) in diameter. Benefits Accurate measurement of oxygen levels in weld purge gas down to 10 ppm (parts per million) Ability to measure purge gas exhaust up to 1 km away from the weld location Avoids the drawbacks of measuring oxygen levels in the joint gap, where outside oxygen and variable factors can affect accuracy Ensures correct weld purge readings and prevents adverse effects of oxidation on the joint Portable and compact design for easy handling and manoeuverability Equipped with a stainless steel sensing head that connects to various tube, pipe, and pipeline Weld Purging Systems Only requires one cable for power and data transmission Suitable for pipes with a diameter as small as 1" (25 mm) Provides real-time readings on an easily readable display Supports data logging for quality control and compliance purposes. What's In The Box PurgeNet Smart Cable for transferring Weld Purge Data PurgeLog Data Logging Software (USB Data Stick) Docking station Sample tube set with filter Sturdy protective storage carrying and presentation case (a spare/replacement case is available for purchase) Calibration Certificate (valid for 12 months) User Instruction Manual Mains power lead or cable with international plug adaptors FAQs 1. What sort of sensor is used in the Argweld PurgEye 1000 'Remote' Weld Purge Monitor. The Argweld PurgEye 1000 Remote Weld Purge Monitor uses a solid state sensor of a unique design. It is much lower in cost than other sensors, has a faster reaction time than other sensors and has a long life. 2. What is the intended application for the Argweld PurgEye 1000 Remote Weld Purge Monitor? The Argweld PurgEye 1000 Remote Weld Purge Monitor allows the sensing head to be placed up to 1km away from the instrument so that readings from inside a pipeline or pipe fabrication can be taken directly at the joint. 3. Is the Argweld PurgEye 1000 Remote Weld Purge Monitor sensitive to electrical disturbances? Each instrument has shielding to prevent most forms of interference. Quality Control Test and Inspection criteria are designed to account for as many variables as possible. It is extremely rare that electrical interference will affect the monitor. 4. My Company needs a Calibration Certificate once a year for all instruments. How do I obtain one? Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT has a recalibration facility. 5. What is the minimum pipe size in which the sensor head can be used? 1 (25 mm) diameter) . 6. What is the sensor head housing made from? Stainless steel. 7. Do I need to fix the sensing head to the purging system? Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT can supply fixtures for the head to be mounted in a stable fashion to any kind of mechanical or inflatable pipe purging system. 8. What is inside the sensor head? The sensor head contains an electro-mechanical pump to ensure a steady flow of exhaust gas across the sensor for stable measurement purposes. 9. Can Weld Purge Monitors only be used when purging with argon? The PurgEye Weld Purge Monitors measure the oxygen level within any gas, not only inert gases. They can be used to monitor the oxygen level when using inert gases such as argon and helium and also non-inert gases including nitrogen and nitrogen/hydrogen mixes 10. What is PurgeNet? PurgeNet controls the welding power sources such as orbital welders and any other automatic welding systems to switch on and off according to oxygen levels, transferring data easily with the ability to link to external devices.wd_hide_on_desktop="no" wd_hide_on_tablet="no" wd_hide_on_mobile="no"\)

How can Argweld HotPurge help me?HotPurge Pipe Weld Purging Systems for Heat Treated Chrome and High Strength Stainless Steels were developed for the welding of chrome steel pipe joints where the post weld heat treatment temperatures may be as high as 300C (572F) These Systems will allow you to generate zero colour coke-free welds without any defect caused by harmful gases or vapours. If you have any welding tasks where the heat generated might be too high for the other pipe purging systems in our range, it might well be appropriate to use HotPurge Systems.2. What range of sizes is available?6 to 88 (152 to 2, 235 mm) .3. What is the overall length? The dimensions between the dams vary from 28-36. In the event that you order your HotPurge Systems for working with bends in the pipework then the dimensions will be greater.4. Can Argweld HotPurge Systems be used forreturn bends?Yes, as long as you make it clear at your enquiry stage, that you will be pulling the HotPurge Systems through bends, then we can adjust the Systems accordingly.5. Are Argweld HotPurge Systems re-usable?You should be able to use your Systems for many heat treated weld joints as long as it is used within its specification and hasnt been damaged.6. What gases can I use with Argweld HotPurge Systems? These Systems are intended to be used with totally inert argon gas of at least 99.995% purity. It is very important that the System is placed within the pipe prior to heating and that the purge gas is turned on at the beginning of the heat treating cycles and remains on until the units are deflated and withdrawn at the end of the PWHT cycle.7. What are Argweld HotPurge Systems made from?HotPurge Systems are fabricated from high temperature resistant materials.8. How cost-effective are Argweld HotPurge?Using localised purging will save a lot of money in inert gas costs, by not having to purge whole pipe Systems and not having to pay for the cost of extra waiting time.9. Are Argweld HotPurge Systems resistant to heat? The materials selected for HotPurge manufacture are resistant to the temperatures that are expected during the heat treatment of chrome steels for weld joint manufacture.10. How do I measure the residual oxygen content?HFT manufactures a range of Weld Purge Monitors. The PurgEye 100 IP65 is the best general purpose Weld Purge Monitor on the market today. If you need to purge down to oxygen levels less than 100 ppm, then the PurgEye 200 IP65 or any of the others in the range will be suitable as they all measure very accurately down to 10 ppm.11. How do I position the product in the pipeline? There are pull loops that each have up to a 1, 000lb breaking strain. These can be connected to pull wires that will pull the HotPurge System from joint to joint.12. How long will HotPurge Systems remain inflated?HotPurge Systems remain inflated until the purge gas hose is detached.
