An alarm button is used to unobtrusively activate an alarm call on the nearest infra-red sensor. Pulling the transmitter away from its clothing clip activates an attack call. The unit is battery operated and it is easily replaced by the user. IA button is provided to check the battery health indicated by an LED array on the transmitter furthermore the nearest infra-red sensors reassurance light will flash to confirm a healthy signal. This is a confidence inspiring feature for the user who can quickly test the transmitter and sensors function in an environment when dealing with a potentially serious situation.
