Shiny satin white

Shiny satin white

Sewing in satinFancy a glossy look for your DIY project? Then you should consider satin! The special weave gives a nice glossy front, a more matte back and a nice shiny look! Our Savina satin is available in many beautiful colours! Find your favourites and order exactly the length you need. Beautiful designs in satinUse satin to create beautiful accessories for everyday and on special occasions. For example, sew a puffy bag or tote bag that you can use for everyday and on special festive occasions. You can also choose to use the shiny fabric as a lining in your project; it adds a beautiful finish. And then, of course, you can use satin for clothing - for example, a nice satin shirt, a pair of cool satin trousers or maybe a jumpsuit with a drawstring waist. The fabric has a width of 135 cm and shrinks about 3% in the wash. It can be washed at 30°, always hang dry and iron at low heat. TIP: Use good quality fleece and interfacing to stabilise smaller parts like collars and cuffs. We recommend ironing it on before cutting out the pattern pieces - and remember to iron without steam (water can leave small stains and the high temperatures from the steam can change the surface of the fabric!) Search "9 tips for sewing satin" for more tips.  What is satin?Satin refers to the way the fabric is woven, where one side of the material is smooth and shiny. For this satin you will need microtex needles.  What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®?OEKO-TEX® is the world-leading label for textiles tested for harmful substances.Once the fabric has achieved a STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification, it is your guarantee it has been tested and approved not to contain any harmful chemicals.Meaning it is neither harmful to you nor your health and it’s less harmful to the environment.

Denim w stretch white 10,5oz

A colourful denim paletteFind your favourite and get out your sewing machine - let's design personalised denim styles! Everyone loves denim. And denim in shades of blue is classic and stylish. This fabric even has a bit of stretch for extra freedom of movement. Denim is perfect for dresses, spencers, skirts, shirts, jackets, trousers, pantsuits, and all kinds of bags. Just find a pattern and get started! Personality in denim!Do you want your design to be truly personalised and unique? Try your hand at a scrap piece of fabric - you could create a slightly worn look with fine sandpaper, or scratch the surface to create holes. Or how about decorating with sewing marks, embroidered details or slightly different buttons? That's why we love denim!Denim is a great fabric. So there you have it. Jeans and denim have been a staple in many wardrobes for years, and for good reason! It's a classic that everyone can wear and you can use it for all kinds of creative endeavours.Denim is made from cotton yarn woven in a tight twill weave, making it a highly durable and long-lasting fabric. It also has a distinctive texture that develops a beautiful patina over time - both with use and washing. Additional detailsThis denim is made from 97% cotton and 3% elastane - a heavyweight quality of 10.5 oz (1 oz (ounce) equals approximately 28 grams. A higher number means a heavier/higher density fabric). The fabric measures 125-145 cm in width, and of course you can choose the length yourself, but remember to factor in that it shrinks 5% when washed. NB: Always wash denim before use to avoid staining.  Remember to use a stretch or jeans needle and a strong denim thread.
