Vimpex ELS3A6AO Loop Sounder with Deep Base IP66 in Red

Vimpex ELS3A6AO Loop Sounder with Deep Base IP66 in Red

Vimpex ELS3A6AO Loop Sounder with Deep Base IP66 in RedInstalling a Vimpex Loop Sounder System with short-circuit isolation provides complete sounder circuit integrity. By wiring the sounder circuit in a loop instead of a traditional radial all sounders will remain operational in the event of a short-circuit or open circuit fault.Component parts are approved by LPCB to relevant parts of EN 54 and the system is fully compliant with BS 5839-1 using a single sounder loop. Use of the Vimpex Loop Sounder System will greatly increase the reliability of the sounder circuits and in many cases result in a saving in the amount of cable used. Each loop can accommodate up to 45 sounders. Suitable for use on both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems the system provides much greater protection against faults than the dual radial circuit arrangements commonly used. The Vimpex Loop Sounder System significantly enhances the reliability of any sounder system. With conventional radial circuits a single open or short circuit fault on a sounder circuit could result in the loss of at least half of the sounders in an area of a building. The Vimpex Loop Sounder System has been fully tested and approved by LPCB to relevant EN 54 standards - certificates are available on request. This system is detailed in BS 5839-12002A22008 clause 12.2.2 j and Fig 1b as an alternative to the use of dual radial circuits. A detailed application guide is available from Vimpex as is a system loop calculator. Each sounder is supplied with a bi-directional short-circuit isolator fitted within its base. In the event of a short circuit the isolators will activate and disconnect the faulty section of cable while reporting in monitoring mode the fault to the control panel. When the sounders are activated the loop is driven from both ends ensuring that all sounders will remain operational even in the event of a single short-circuit or open-circuit fault. Sounders and their isolator bases are installed just like any other conventional sounders on the twin core circuit.

Vimpex FC3MMSP Fire-Cryer Plus Multi-Message Switching PCB

Vimpex FC3MMSP Fire-Cryer Plus Multi-Message Switching PCB

Vimpex FC3MMSP Fire-Cryer Plus Multi-Message Switching PCBTo use the Fire-Cryer Plus sounders in their multi-message mode it is necessary to send commands to the sounders to instruct them which of the seven messages they should broadcast. This is achieved by introducing the Multi-Message Switching PCB MMSP. The MMSP has developed into a versatile expandable and user-friendly interface to control up to seven different messages using just two cores. It is capable of handling One out all out scenarios as well as phased evacuation or staged fire alarms. It is as ideally suited to new compact conventional single zone builds complex networked sites with many zones as well as retrofitting to existing systems. With the addition of interfaces such as the Hochiki CHQ-DSC and the Apollo SCC the Fire-Cryer Plus can be successfully installed on addressable loops. Each MMSP has two 2 amp sounder circuits which are monitored by the Fire Alarm Control Panel. The MMSP can be supplied separately or within enclosures housing the MMSP with or without a Keypad Zone Extension PCB ZEP and PSUs see Voice Message Controllers opposite. The primary message is usually FIRE or EVACUATE and is preceded by an alerting tone chosen by the user. The remaining six messages are known as auxiliary messages as any of these will be overridden by the primary message. The MMSP has a number of inputs for switching the auxiliary messages either from the keypad if fitted or external inputs such as a relay key-switch IO unit call point or similar. Two of the six auxiliary inputs can be configured as monitored inputs providing the opportunity to include panic alarms and terrorist or bomb alerts. The MMSP is installed between the field sounder circuits and either directly to the Fire Alarm Control Panel FACP or via a loop interface.

Vimpex Hydrosense HS Conventional 8 Zone Leak Detection Panel with Ancillary PCB

Vimpex Hydrosense HS Conventional 8 Zone Leak Detection Panel with Ancillary PCB 230v ACThe new Hydrosense systems provide both linear detection using Hydrowire and point detection using probes. Linear detection Hydrowire is a flexible cable which will continuously monitor large areas. When even a small amount of water or moisture comes into contact with Hydrowire it will trigger an alarm. Point detection is provided by Hydrosense floor or drip tray probes these are fixed to the floor or drip tray and adjusted to give the required detection level and connected to the control panel via a Hydrosense water leak detection module.Utilising life safety technology in the design of Hydrosense provides the reliability and integrity of BSi approved fire detection systems meaning there is virtually no risk of failure downtime and significantly fewer false alarms. The ancillary PCB provides common fire common fault coincidence and zonal fire volt free contacts allowing control of sub-systems graphical mimics and plant remotely from the main panel over a two-wire data bus.Key FeaturesIdeal for small and medium sized installations2 4 and 8 Zone Control Panels available with all variants featuring battery standby as well as common fault and alarm relay contactsSimple to install and maintainDetection and Sounder circuits constantly monitored for faultsRS485 data bus allows both zonal contacts and repeater panels to be incorporatedBattery Backup
