Ziton FD310 End-to-End Beam Detector 5 to 120m

Ziton FD310 End-to-End Beam Detector 5 to 120m

Ziton FD310 End-to-End Beam Detector 5 to 120mOptical beam smoke detector consists of separate transmitter and receiver heads and a low level controller. The FD310 End to End infrared Optical Beam Smoke Detector OBSD has been designed using the latest optical technology incorporating modern industrial electronic and software techniques. This detector offers cost effective protection of large open area spaces with high ceilings. It is also very suited to applications where access to ceiling mounted smoke detectors presents practical difficulties. The system comprises a modern looking Transmitter head which emits a narrow beam of infra-red light to an associated Receiver head with a compact Low Level Controller. Once smoke crosses through and thus obscures the IR beam path the signal strength at the Receiver drops below a pre-set level which in turn results in an alarm condition. Both the detector heads Transmitter and Receiver have integrated alignment thumbwheels for ease of alignment. Using these thumbwheels provides a smooth and repeatable alignment process. The detector heads have up to 10 degrees of adjustment in both planes. For further adjustment a bespoke Adjustment Bracket is available which offers up to 180 degrees movement in both planes as well as a full 360-degree rotation. The FD310 has been designed so that it can be installed by one operator with its laser assisted alignment method combined with easy to use alignment LEDs offering a visual feedback. Integrated laser alignment aid can be activated at the Controller or at the Receiver head. The low level Controller incorporates a LCD display which offers a full icon-based easy-to-use interface unit. This Controller enables ease of commissioning testing and maintenance of the beam detection system. During commissioning the detector sensitivity and fire thresholds can be selected along with the user variable time to fire and time to fault settings.Range 5 to 120m integral laser alignment controller can support 2 pairs of transmitter and receivers additional pairs are available FD310H.Key FeaturesSeparate Transmitter and Receiver HeadsRange 5 to 120 metres configurable per set of DetectorsIntegral Laser Alignment in Receiver2-wire Interface between Controller and ReceiverSingle and Twin Detector optionsSeparate Fire and Fault Relays per DetectorLow Level Controller with LCD displayProgrammable Sensitivity and Fire ThresholdAutomatic Gain Control AGC for drift compensationFirst Fix concept for Transmitter Receiver and ControllerMultiple cable gland knockouts for ease of wiringOptional Transmitter powering from ControllerSupply voltage 12-36VDCCurrent Controller 14mA per transmitter head 8mAFire and Fault relays per detector head - rated 2A 30VDCDetector head dimensions per transmitter and receiver unit mm 74w x 74h x 161dController dimensions mm 203w x 124h x 73d

Ziton Conventional Network Interface Board 2010-1-NB

Ziton Conventional Network Interface Board 2010-1-NBThe 2010-1-NB RS485 FireNet network board allows for the creation of a bus mode class-B or redundant class-A 32 node network supporting up to 64 zones. Each node may be a fire panel or a fire panel repeater. When optical fibre is preferred when cable lengths above 1200 m between nodes are required or in cases where high levels of EMC are expected a standard RS485 to fibre converter may be used. The 2010-1-NB is connected directly to the main board of the panel. No cabling needs to be done between the network board and the main board. The ApplicationNetworking makes it possible to repeat the user interface of any panel as required. There could be various reasons for using a network e.g.If there are multiple exit doors in a building and at each exit door the status of the fire system is requiredWhere the load of the system needs to be spread to safeguard against failure of a single panelTo minimise cabling and installation costsFor larger installations where multiple panels are required but yet central control is required at a single location.Networking is also useful when an existing system needs to be expanded. Instead of replacing a perfectly good panel with a larger one simply install and additional panel and connect them together in a network. This makes it ideal for cost effective future expansion.Key FeaturesClass A or B network supportUp to 1200 m between nodesMay be used for panels and repeatersUp to 32 nodes 64 zonesPluggable connectorsConnects directly to the main boardAllows networking between conventional and addressable panels
