Magnum 15+ Hydraulic Core Drill Motor
The Magnum handheld hydraulic core drill motor is on low-maintenance and on high-performance, with an unrivalled power for both wet and dry drilling applications alike. Although the Magnum has a high power-to-weight ratio, it produces little or no kick back or snatch, thanks to its in-built pressure/torque limiting safety valve. It can be used for both free drilling with close-body control and rig mounted drilling applications; suitable for drilling any angle.
This compact, lightweight, high-power and iconic hydraulic drill motor is widely regarded across a multitude of industries because of its versatility, reliability, safety and ease of use; with its design changing little in the almost 35 years since it was first produced here in the UK to this day. It is especially popular in the telecoms industry for use in confined spaces (including manhole chambers) , as well as underwater, indoors, upside down (inverted) , in hazardous environments (like refineries, petrol stations etc) or in noise-sensitive areas, thanks to its low-noise, non-fuming, non-electrical and non-sparking operation. Despite its lightweight, it has a reassuring robust construction and very low maintenance; with ultra-low vibration levels (0.6m/s2 free-running) .
All Magnum hydraulic core drill motors feature a 1/2 BSP F fitting and are supplied with a 11/4 UNC M external to 1/2 BSP M adaptor, allowing both larger industry standard 11/4 UNC Female core bits and smaller diameter 1/2 BSP Male core bits to be used, for greater coring versatility. It is also supplied with an adjustable and detachable side handle for optimum handling when free-drilling; the same is detached when rig mounted.
They are limited for use with a 20 l/m hydraulic flow rate and 150 bar pressure (recommended hydraulic pressure 70-92 bar) Can also be used on machines with a compatible power take off facility for added convenience and maximum versatility.
Supplied with a metal heavy-duty protective storage and transportation case as standard.
