Softshell black w black fleece reverse

Softshell black w black fleece reverse

Stylish in Softshell Softshell is a hit for both adults and kids! It's stylish, practical, and comfortable to wear. Sew a simple vest with pockets, a jacket, a coat with a 2-way zip for cycling, or perhaps an all-in-one suit suitable for adventures in the woods and walks with the dog in the unpredictable Danish weather.   Softshell is designed to be both breathable and windproof. It consists of an outer material that is windproof and water-repellent, while the inside is soft and flexible. All in all, it's a combination that offers you great comfort and freedom of movement.  The quality is windproof and waterproof with a water column pressure of 5,000 mm and good breathability of 3,000 mm.  Softshell or Rainwear? In general, softshell is more breathable than traditional rainwear, making it more comfortable to wear when you're active.  Many wear softshell regardless of the weather: You're prepared for a rain shower, and at the same time, the soft inner layer keeps you comfortably warm.  About Water Column Pressure Water column pressure indicates how much water the material can withstand before it starts to penetrate. The higher the water column pressure, the more waterproof it is. A good rule of thumb is that +2,000 mm is suitable for light rain showers/short trips in the rain, while +5,000 is for a heavier rain shower or a couple of hours in light rain. If you're going to be out in heavy rain, we recommend +8,000 mm.  Some Practical Information This fabric consists of 95% polyester and 5% elastane. The fabric measures 140 cm in width, and you decide how many meters you want to order.  When you start sewing in softshell, we recommend using a universal needle size 80.  What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®? OEKO-TEX® is the world's leading health label for textiles.  When the fabric is certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, it's your guarantee that it has been tested and approved and is free from any harmful chemicals.

A colourful denim paletteFind your favourite and get out your sewing machine - let's design personalised denim styles! Everyone loves denim. And denim in shades of blue is classic and stylish. But denim in other great colours can also do something. This fabric even has a bit of stretch for extra freedom of movement. Denim is perfect for dresses, spencers, skirts, shirts, jackets, trousers, pantsuits, and all kinds of bags. Just find a pattern and get started! Personality in denim!Do you want your design to be truly personalised and unique? Try your hand at a scrap piece of fabric - you could create a slightly worn look with fine sandpaper, or scratch the surface to create holes. Or how about decorating with sewing marks, embroidered details or slightly different buttons? That's why we love denim!Denim is a great fabric. So there you have it. Jeans and denim have been a staple in many wardrobes for years, and for good reason! It's a classic that everyone can wear and you can use it for all kinds of creative endeavours.Denim is made from cotton yarn woven in a tight twill weave, making it a highly durable and long-lasting fabric. It also has a distinctive texture that develops a beautiful patina over time - both with use and washing. Additional detailsThis denim is made from 97% cotton and 3% elastane - a heavyweight quality of 10.5 oz (1 oz (ounce) equals approximately 28 grams. A higher number means a heavier/higher density fabric). The fabric measures 125-145 cm in width, and of course you can choose the length yourself, but remember to factor in that it shrinks 5% when washed. NB: Always wash denim before use to avoid staining.  Remember to use a stretch or jeans needle and a strong denim thread.

Bias tape cotton 18mm black 5m

Bias tape cotton 18mm black 5m

Bias tape in ALL colours!  Okay – claiming "all" might be an exaggeration, but here you really get a whole rainbow of colours to choose from for your DIY project.     Bias tape is the icing on the cake. And the colour – that's up to you. Find one that matches your project, choose one that offers a subtle shade difference, or go all out on contrast and pick one (or several!) that stands out and draws attention. It's your design – you obviously decide.     The bias tape is 18 mm wide and made of 100% cotton. You get 5 meters of bias tape in a package.    Use bias tape for...   Stitch bias tape on blankets and bath towels. Use it on dresses, shirts and blouses – and for baby clothes and bodysuits. Let the bias tape act as lovely details and beautiful finishes on edges and cutouts.     Good to know about bias tape  Bias tape has the (almost) magical ability to adapt to many types of fabric. As the name suggests, it's cut on the bias, so it naturally follows your curves, necklines, corners, and edges. This provides a beautiful finish.     How to stitch on bias tape  Bias tape is for sewing onto curves, corners, and straight stretches. When sewing the bias tape onto your project, stitch in straight stitches with a stitch length of about 2.5 cm. While you're sewing, don't pull or stretch it. Let it align naturally along the edge, ensuring a neat finish.     TIP  When you start sewing on your bias tape, fold about 2 cm inwards so it's double-layered. When finishing, tuck the other end's fold over your folded start. The same principle applies when extending bias tape.

Woven lyocell black

Woven lyocell black

Lyocell offers all sorts of benefitsLyocell is a fantastic fabric and the Lyocell manufacturing process is eco-friendly. A Lyocell fabric has irresistible properties – and you can sew a multitude of creative projects with it.From wood to textile fibresLyocell is made from wood – primarily eucalyptus. The wood is broken down in a chemical process and spun into textile fibres.Lyocell is produced under environmentally friendly conditionsThe method used to convert the plant fibres into textile fibre is similar to that used to produce viscose. However, while not necessarily the case for viscose, Lyocell is always produced in a closed system. No wastewater from Lyocell production is pumped back into the natural environment. More or less all process chemicals and water are recycled.Enjoy Lyocell's moisture-wicking propertiesLyocell has an amazing capacity to absorb sweat and release it again quickly. Lyocell actually releases moisture 50 % faster than cotton. This means that Lyocell regulates body temperature and helps you maintain body water balance.Lyocell is anti-bacterialGood moisture management also means that Lyocell has an anti-bacterial effect. Moisture absorbed directly from your skin is transported to the inside of the fibre – it does not remain on the surface where bacteria have good opportunities to spread.Less odour and less energy consumptionWhen you make Lyocell garments, they are therefore more resistant to odour than cotton. Less odour means fewer washes, lower domestic water consumption and less energy to power the washing machine and tumble drier. Great news for you! You do not have to wash clothes as often – and that is great news for the environment! What are you going to make in Lyocell?Lyocell is ideal for all sorts of creative projects. Use it to make dresses, skirts, trousers, shorts, tunics and tops.Avoid tight-fitting designsWhen you sew in a Lyocell fabric, we recommend that you avoid using sewing patterns for very tight-fitting styles. Lyocell is a woven fabric with relatively little stretch.
