We recommend placing a plastic sheet between your fabric layers, to prevent the dye from staining the underlying layers. The marker is ready for use – remove the cap, and you're good to go. After use, we recommend leaving your project to dry for at least six hours, before heat-fixing it with an iron. Cover your project, i.e. with a tea towel or another cloth, to protect it during fixation. Your project is now washable at up to 60°C - please wash inside out. Fabric markers are best stored horizontally. The fabric marker is not suitable for children under three years of age.

This textile paint is great, and easy to work with. It has a creamy texture and covers well. The textile paint is water-based and suitable for light-and dark-coloured fabrics made of e.g. cotton, viscose, denim and other materials containing up to 20% synthetic fibres. We recommend that you always wash your fabric before starting to paint. Stir the paint well. When you have finished painting with textile paints, leave to dry for up to six hours before fixing with an iron. Do not iron directly onto your project. Lay a thin cloth over it. When dry, the paint is colourfast and washable. Turn your project inside-out. It is washable at up to 40°C.

This silk paint is a joy to work with! Each jar contains 50 ml of highly pigmented paint that you apply to your textiles with a brush. The paint has a runny, liquid texture and is water-based – any unwanted stains can easily be removed. We do, however, recommend placing a plastic sheet underneath your project and between your fabric layers, to prevent unwanted staining. Use this textile paint on silk and light-coloured fabrics, such as cotton, linen, viscose, or textile blends containing up to 20 % synthetic fibres. This paint is suitable for contour, salt and watercolour techniques, and airbrush and spray techniques. We recommend you wash your fabric beforehand. Stir the paint before use. Leave your project to dry for a minimum of six hours before heat-fixing it with an iron. Never iron directly onto the silk; cover both sides of your project, i.e. with a tea towel or another cloth, to protect it during fixation. Your project is now washable - please wash inside out.

In this fabric, we combine the two qualities, giving you a light and soft material with good breathability and comfortable stretch.  Colourful designs Whether you prefer black and white, earthy tones or vibrant colours – you'll find the entire colour palette in this fabric. Choose one or more favourites, get out your sewing machine, and sew your new outfit.  The material is suitable for almost all types of clothing, but of course, we have some favourites.  One of them is the classic top. Once you've found the right fit, you can easily change its look by simply choosing a new colour. Or how about making small adjustments in the design, so you have your favourite top with short, ¾, and long sleeves?  The fabric is suitable for much more than classic tops! Use it for dresses, leggings, trousers, and skirts. Find plenty of inspiration in our sewing patterns or design your own favourite.  A bit of practicality Viscose has been used for clothing for over 100 years. The fabric consists of processed and regenerated cellulose from sources like wood pulp or cotton waste. It's similar to natural fibres like cotton and silk. Here, the viscose is mixed with elastane (6%), giving you a stretchable viscose.  You choose the length you need for your sewing project. The fabric measures 145 cm in width and shrinks by 6% when washed.  When working with jersey, we recommend using a jersey needle, characterised by having a medium point – also known as ball point. Let the bias tape act as fine details and beautiful finishes on edges and cut-outs.     Worth knowing about bias tape  Bias tape has the (almost) magical ability to adapt to many fabrics. As the name suggests, it's cut on the bias, so it naturally follows your curves, necklines, corners, and edges. This results in a beautiful finish.     How to sew on bias tape  Bias tape is for sewing onto curves, corners, and straight stretches. When you sew the bias tape onto your project, you use straight stitches with a stitch length of about 2.5 cm. As you sew, you must not pull or stretch it. Let it align naturally along the edge to get a neat result.     TIP  When you start sewing your bias tape on, fold in about 2 cm, so it's double-layered. When you finish, tuck the other end's fold over your folded start. The same principle applies when extending the bias tape.

Do you know boucle?  It's a fabric with small, tight loops that give the beautiful uneven surface you see in the picture. And precisely this surface is both delightful to touch and super elegant for DIY projects.   Boucle is French and means 'loops'; a name that fits the fabric perfectly, made up of these small tightly-knitted loops.   Style your DIY project with boucle This boucle falls under the category of upholstery fabrics, which means you get a truly durable piece of fabric suitable for various projects.   Use it for seat cushions and decorative pillows, or upholster your daybed or chairs with boucle. Upholstery fabric can, of course, be used for more than just furniture. Sew a cool tote bag or handbag as the perfect accessory for everyday and parties.   Some practicalities about boucle This boucle is made of 90% polyester and 10% cotton with a wear resistance of 20,000 Martindale. The fabric is 140 cm wide, and you buy it by the metre, so you get precisely the length you need. The fabric is suitable for extra gentle wash and shrinks about 3%.  What is Martindale? Martindale tells you about the fabric's wear resistance. The higher the Martindale, the more durable the fabric.  If you are using the fabric for furniture upholstery, we recommend choosing a material with at least 20,000 Martindale.  The fabric is certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®  What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®? OEKO-TEX® is the world's leading health label for textiles.  When the fabric is certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, it's your guarantee that it has been tested and approved, and is free from harmful chemicals.

Javana batik dye blue 70g

Create your unique textiles with batik dying. Batik textile dyes are best used on cotton, viscose, linen, half panama, silk, wool, or polyamide. The screw-cap container contains 70 g of dye powder. Take what you need, mix it in accordance with the instructions, and save the rest for later. The more pigment you add, the stronger your colours become. Use 70 g of dye powder per 200g of fabric for strong colouration. Use 70 grs of poweder per 400 g of fabric for a less intense colouration. This batik textile dye paint is suitable for various dyeing techniques, e.g. tie-dye and dip-dye. Always wash the fabric before starting to paint. Fill a bucket or tub with very hot water (95°C), enough to cover your fabric. Add your dye and stir until completely dissolved. Then immerse the damp fabric in the colour bath. NB: Make sure that the dye is completely dissolved before you add the fabric. If not, the results will be spotty or uneven. Leave the fabric to soak for no more than one hour . Rinse your fabric with hot water. Batik dyes do not tolerate high temperatures. Wash your dyed fabric at max 40°C. Wash separately the first time. NB: To enhance the colours and prevent them for wearing off, we recommend you use our Javana fixing agent. Without fixing agent, the dyes will soon wash out.
