This silk paint is a joy to work with! Each jar contains 50 ml of highly pigmented paint that you apply to your textiles with a brush. The paint has a runny, liquid texture and is water-based – any unwanted stains can easily be removed. We do, however, recommend placing a plastic sheet underneath your project and between your fabric layers, to prevent unwanted staining. Use this textile paint on silk and light-coloured fabrics, such as cotton, linen, viscose, or textile blends containing up to 20 % synthetic fibres. This paint is suitable for contour, salt and watercolour techniques, and airbrush and spray techniques. We recommend you wash your fabric beforehand. Stir the paint before use. Leave your project to dry for a minimum of six hours before heat-fixing it with an iron. Never iron directly onto the silk; cover both sides of your project, i.e. with a tea towel or another cloth, to protect it during fixation. Your project is now washable - please wash inside out.

Shiny satin red

Sewing in satinFancy a glossy look for your DIY project? Then you should consider satin! The special weave gives a nice glossy front, a more matte back and a nice shiny look! Our Savina satin is available in many beautiful colours! Find your favourites and order exactly the length you need. Beautiful designs in satinUse satin to create beautiful accessories for everyday and on special occasions. For example, sew a puffy bag or tote bag that you can use for everyday and on special festive occasions. You can also choose to use the shiny fabric as a lining in your project; it adds a beautiful finish. And then, of course, you can use satin for clothing - for example, a nice satin shirt, a pair of cool satin trousers or maybe a jumpsuit with a drawstring waist. The fabric has a width of 135 cm and shrinks about 3% in the wash. It can be washed at 30°, always hang dry and iron at low heat. TIP: Use good quality fleece and interfacing to stabilise smaller parts like collars and cuffs. We recommend ironing it on before cutting out the pattern pieces - and remember to iron without steam (water can leave small stains and the high temperatures from the steam can change the surface of the fabric!) The loveliest projects in fleeceFind your favourite colour and start creating your new project! Polar fleece is light, soft and stretchy - a great material that also insulates. That means it's perfect for lining a jacket or a nice, fluffy vest, for example. This is how easy it is to make a fleece blanketChoose the colour and cut the blanket to the exact size you want and voila: you have a new fleece blanket. It doesn't get any easier than this. And yes - it's good enough - you don't need to sew the edges; the material won't run. If you want to give your rug a nice finish with a sewn edge, we recommend using jersey needles, which are specially developed for qualities like this. They penetrate the fabric easily without leaving holes. Or how about making a reversible blanket or vest with two different colours of fleece - double up on warmth, softness and use. Fleece dries quickly, is robust and durable and therefore very easy to bring along, for example as extra blankets in the caravan. Practical information about polar fleeceThe fabric is 145 cm wide and you buy it by the metre, so you get the length you need. Then this self-adhesive nylon patch is the easy way to give your clothes a new lease of life.Repair holes and tears in outerwear, etc.This patch is made of 100% nylon. It measures 10 x 20 cm. It has a self-adhesive backing and is good for repairing holes or tears. Use it, for example, to repair rainwear, a jacket, trousers, ski suit, snowsuit and other waterproof clothing – and in places you find it difficult to get to sew. How do I attach the nylon patch?Make sure that the damaged fabric is clean, dry and smooth.Instructions:Trim the nylon patch to the desired size. We recommend that you cut the patch several centimetres larger than the hole.
