Freudenberg’s iron-on canvas is a lightweight, soft and fusible interfacing made of 100% cotton. The interfacing is 90 cm wide. Fix the interfacing WITHOUT steam. Just press for about 8-10 seconds at medium iron temperature (2 dots). Move the iron. Press firmly and continue until you have fused the adhesive on your sewing project. We recommend that you do a fuse test on a small piece of fabric before you start. Allow the fabric piece to cool. Iron-on canvas is ideal for use with light and medium-weight shirt fabrics and similar fabrics made of cotton. Use a lightweight interfacing to stabilise and stiffen small sections, such as collars, pockets and bodices on blouses, jackets, etc.

It's soft and comfortable to work with.Satin refers to the way the fabric is woven. This means that when we say cotton satin, it has the same beautiful weave as more 'classic' satin, while the cotton quality gives a more matt finish to the fabric.  And what can you use cotton satin for? Well, that’s entirely up to you. We prefer using it for bed linen. The natural material of the cotton in the delicate satin weave makes for some really lovely home made bed linen. As with so many other cottons, it is also suitable for clothing. Cotton is comfortable to wear and the fine weave gives it a nice finish - for a summer shirt or skirt, for example. Cotton satin is also perfect for a tablecloth for the table. Sew the tablecloth yourself or select "Sew as a tablecloth" and we will sew it for you (click on the text for details). Practical information about cotton satinMade from 100% cotton, it's soft and fluffy and, as always, you buy the fabric by the metre, so you get exactly the length you need. The fabric is 145 cm wide, has a weight of 130 grams and shrinks about 8% in the wash. You can wash it at 60° and iron at medium heat - but avoid the tumble dryer; let it air dry instead. TIP: Finish your seams properly - satin tends to fray a lot. You could also consider using a wider seam allowance to secure your seams or use overlock stitching. Quite frankly, it’s a really good basic elastic band for many purposes. A standard narrow elastic bandYou can use this elastic for all sorts of projects. Use it as a panty lace, for the neckline of a dress or top, and as a sleeve edge for beautiful balloon sleeves. It's also your go-to elastic when you need an elastic for festive masks for Shrove Tuesday and Halloween. We prefer to use the elastic so that it is hidden in a drawstring. The elastic is soft and durable, and can be washed at 60° and tumble-dried at low heat.
