Nittan EV-PY-SCI Photoelectric Optical Detector with ShortCircuit IsolatorThe EV-PY-SCI is an Optical Smoke Detector with integralShort Circuit Isolator fully compatible with Evolution analogue addressablesystems.The EV-PY-SCI comes to the market with some exciting new technologicaladvances centred on an enhanced new PY smoke sensing chamber.The sensor includes a spherical feature within the smokechamber providing unrivalled performance for scattering light plus an OrangeLED which significantly improves response across the fire spectrum. TheChamber construction is designed to minimise the effect of dirtdustcontamination with a fine micromesh made of stainless steel to prevent ingressof even the smallest insects which can create false alarms.The integral Short Circuit Isolator is bi-directional and inthe event of an external fault will shut down on one side to protect thesystem whilst allowing the device to continue communication with the firealarm control panel from the opposite side. The isolator will self-reset whenthe fault is cleared.The Nittan UB-6-SL-EV Base includes a sliding link toprovide loop continuity when detectors are removed.
