Winsor & Newton's Professional Gloss Varnish Spray is an essential for every artist wanting to protect their work from dirt and grease. It's extremely easy to use: simply spray the aerosol evenly over your work from a distance of around 30cm.
It dries to give a clear, permanent coating, and you can use it on wood, metal, paper and modelling materials, as well as oil paintings (which need to dry thoroughly, for at least six months, before you apply the varnish). With Winsor & Newton Professional Varnish Spray you're guaranteed a superior quality finish that's resistant to blooming and cracking.

Traditionally a combination of drying oil, resin, and a thinner or solvent, Varnish is a transparent liquid which dries to form a hard, protective film.
