This is my go-to equipment during any wedding day for a variety of situations from using an pop-up umbrella during formals to the flatpak 70cm octabox during couple of portrait sessions. Everything is easy, quick and portable to use. Even the light stands are retractable so I move it through a wedding venue with one hand without worrying about the legs of the stand hitting someone.

The Beauty dish creates a unique lighting pattern on the subject offering a round catch light in the eye of the subject, often used in fashion and the beauty industries to create excellent skin tones which are soft and uniform. It is a device used to create soft light – it works by using a parabolic reflector to distribute light towards a focal point. The light created is between that of a direct flash and a softbox, hence giving the image of a wrapped, contrasted look, which adds a very dramatic effect. The PIXAPRO beauty dish has a white interior, which provides a warmer, softer, less contrasty look, compared to that of a silver beauty dish. Also light fall of is less dramatic with a white beauty dish, so specular highlights are reduced.
